I have a 33’ above ground. What size do I need?

We have a 31’ ft pool and this one works well. We’ve used it one season.

Will this work for a 55000 gal pool?

Yes it will work for 55,000 gallons. However, you will have to backwash it a lot more frequently than if you get a 600 lb filter instead. Another factor would be your pump size, if you have a larger than 2HP motor, then the larger size would definitely be better.
