Replicate your takeaway Satay!
A fav in our house. This is the one and only one I will use. Stir every time before using as oil sits at top. Recipe: After cooking the meat and veg of your choice (hoping you have velveted your meat and used MSG…go online if you’re not sure how to do) Add a dollop of peanut butter and another dollop of this (if you don’t want too much heat cos this is spicy then a teaspoon of this should do…tablespoon if you like the fire) A bit of light soy for saltiness and dark soy for the colour. Some sugar to balance flavours (I say ‘some’ and dollop because I taste as I go, so it’s not a written down recipe) Now at this stage it will look too thick. To make it ‘saucy’ I mix mayflower curry powder with water to dissolve and add to wok. Add extra water to get your desired consistency. Mayflower curry powder is the best replica I’ve found for Chinese curry. It’s in a cardboard box and inside it’s a takeaway container of powder. Can be found in supermarkets. It has a bit of heat, non of this bland curry powder type. That or goldfish curry (square plastic tub in paste form). Onions, carrots and red pepper work wonderfully with this jar of sauce. So great for vegetarians. This jar packs a punch of flavour and heat. I store mine in fridge. Excellent product.

My local takeaway recommended this due to the fact I was addicted to their Satay sauce. So they eventually gave in due to them closing down and told me this is the secret sauce. There are other ingredients that go into it but this satay sauce helps it all come together. I batch cook this sauce and freeze it so I have plenty at my disposal. Absolutely lush.

Tasty but extra spicy!
Delicious! But they weren’t joking when they say all you need is a tiny bit! 1tbsp in my satay sauce nearly blew all our socks off. I’ll try again with a smaller amount. In general I’ll probably stick with Yeos

Better when available in larger size
A must product for pork,chicken and lamb and faboulas for green prawns , however it would be even better if it was releasted in as larger size give it a try . Ps better when BBQ to cheers 🤗👌😎
