Great Figure! I'm so glad I bought him!
I really like him! I think his paint job is pretty good, especially for only being like $25, however I feel like his face could have been given more shading to add detail like the rest of his body. It feels like his face was only coated with the silver and not given an overlay of darker gray like his arms, chest, and legs were. For the most part the paint is within the lines, however there are some areas where the paint was applied a little carelessly, like the gold on his belt and the yellow/red on his back. However, the detail in other areas evens out the errors and makes them less noticeable. Like his belt buckle and his boots. The shine of his skin coat is nice and shimmery, which interestingly causes the light to shape his mucles more so that they didn't need to paint him too intensely (which I think was the goal). However, there ARE areas where the shadowing is a little awkward and intense. Like the shading on his yellow/red clothing, however its easy to overlook. He is very posable, however some joints are stiff and will take some wearing in to get them to be more flexible. There is a joint that allows his abs to cruch, however I DO wish there was an aditional joint above the belt line so that you could move his waist as well and not just half of his torso. His feet are already pretty flexable, however the way that the boot is cut doesn't go well with the joint, so they dont move exactly the way you'd want them to. Same goes for the joints that attach his thighs to his waist. These flaws prevent him from posing in a way that would allow him to sit and/or crouch much. He pretty much can only stand. Speaking of standing, he stands pretty well on his own if you pose him so that his weight works with gravity. Positioning his torso and his legs certain ways make for very stable stances which dont allow him to fall if I shake the table a little. I do like that I have the option to remove his chest guard, but I'm too affraid to rip off his head in order to do it. If I were to take off his chest guard, the only flaw would be that the bottom part of his suit (on his stomach) would remain. A little awkward, but it's not too bad and is easy to deal with. Overall he is a great figure and very unique considering there are not many Colossus figures out there that dont make him look like a walking chrome bowling ball. I'm very happy with the model and even with its small flaws I would reccomend it to anyone. I would rate him a 4.5/5 due to his SLIGHTLY careless paint job (in some areas) and the movement restrictions in his waist/legs. He stands at about eight inches tall and is pretty light. He did come with some odd metal things that I'm not really sure are the use of other than to maayyybe add atmosphere to his character if you put him on a shelf? Nonetheless it is a pretty quality figure and I appreciate it greatly :-)

The Colossus
My first time purchasing the diamond version of the X-MEN..this is by far the closest to the comic version of Colossus..I bought many ..very pleased with this one..worth the money, movement and articulation is good. Very semi heavy. Solid figure..paint quality is nice so is the metallic paint as well.

Great Figure
This is a great figure. I collect mezco and marvel legends and this figure scales very well with both brands. One thing that might be an issue with this figure is the limited articulation but other than that everything else is great.

A Colossus For All Seasons
I had been looking at this figure for just a little time, since getting some of the recent Marvel Legends X-Men figures. Once I got the Kitty Pryde figure, I naturally started to look at available Colossus figures. I really must say that I hate the Marvel Legends Colossus. He looks stupid, and his musculature bothers me, particularly in the arms. His biceps look like someone cut his arms open and stuffed bowling balls into them. I also got a look at the Marvel Legends Marvel Now version of Colossus coming out soon, that was highlighted at San Diego Comic-Con. I just don't like the look, despite a marked improvment in the sculpt and presentation. So I saw some YouTube reviews of this Marvel Select version, liked what I saw, and ordered it. It really does fit nicely with the Marvel Legends line, and the quality of it stands up to and blends in very well with the newer Marvel Legends figures. The scale is perfect with that line, and upon looking at the articulation, it looks and feels more like a Marvel Legends figure than a Marvel Select figure. Plus, with the high quality of the Kitty Pryde figure, it's a real winner as they both look great together.

A True Colossus
I got this figure more than half a year ago before writing this review. The first DST I acquired was Juggernaut and was blown away by the detail. Therefore, that required Colossus. Initially, I was upset with the detail compared to Juggernaut. Different plastic material, different texture and different joints. You'll tend to notice this among DSTs that they use a variety of different sculptors. So the low points, the paint does tend to chip quite easily. And that about wraps it up for the low points. This figure is pure awesome in the form of plastic. The figure stays in place and balanced in a variety of different poses and has great detail true to the comics.***BONUS*** You can remove the chest piece. Although, it probably isn't intended by the manufacturer, you can remove the piece by popping the head off and the piece comes right off. It's risky, but it's on a double ball joint and it'll pop back on and it'll still move firmly. Now you will find the armor skin detail goes beneath the chest piece as well. It does give Colossus a slightly different, more subtle look.I would highly recommend this figure for both the display and playtime for the kids.
