I had to trim a bit of that material out to make it fit better. Once I took these two steps the leather ...
I've seen some mixed reviews about this sheath but it worked out ok for me. When I first got it, it was really tight and I could hardly fit my knife in it. I bought it for a Pro line Robust. I think this sheath was built to fit a Mora Companion and not the pro series. I tried it with my companion and it was a bit tight on that knife too.To fit my proline robust it took a little breaking in. I liberally applied some neatsfoot oil and used a heat gun to shape the leather to fir the larger handle of my knife. the sheath also has a thin plastic lining to prevent the knife from cutting the inside leather. I had to trim a bit of that material out to make it fit better. Once I took these two steps the leather conformed to my knife very nicely and now it is a great fit and the oil turned the naked leather take on a rich Brown finish and looks great. Some may say that this is too much work to put into a Sheath that is supposed to already fit their knife, But Since they sell it as a kind of universal sheath for all Mora knives I think it is reasonable to assume that it will generally fit all knives ok and not fit any one Particular knife 100% perfect. To grade this product on those unrealistic expectation may be a bit unfair. If you get one, assume it will give your knife a decent fit. If you take some time with it you can get a nearly perfect fit.

Pefect, just what I was looking for.
I own a lot of mora knives, and like to modify them to suite my own needs and tastes.Normally, I make my own sheaths out of PVC.Lately however, I have been doing a few mods to my old number 2 classic. Forced a patina, drilled a lanyard hole and added some leather cord with beads, sanded and stained the handle.Ended up becoming a pretty good looking knife, I just needed a good sheath with a classic look. Rather than trying to work with some leather myself, I decided to try this item.I was quite pleased. It holds the classic number 2 very well, and I have no doubt would work with the number 1. I can't really speak for the other Mora models, because I haven't tried them with the sheath. The retention is good, and it looks great, just the look I was going for. Its not stained, but I went with a darker stain on the knife handle, so the contrast between the handle, the darker leather cord on the lanyard with light colored beads, worked well with the light colored sheath.I think this sheath is pretty decent quality for 12 bucks. I think it will definitely hold up, but will amend my review if it doesn't. Its not thick, gun holster type leather, like you would find on a Condor sheath, but I'm actually glad its not. One of the reasons I love the classic number 2 Mora, is because it is so light weight. I didn't want a big thick, heavy duty leather sheath that would weigh the knife down. This sheath is on the thinner side, which makes it nice and light, just like the knife itself. It easily carries for a neck knife, or on my side, and I barely know its there. Looks great too!Update.....I changed my mind about staining it one day (after a few beers).I just took some wood stain I had on hand 'Redwood' I believe....went ahead and wiped a coaton the leather. It worked great....I mean amazing....didn't harm the leather at all, and it looks beautiful.

Pretty great sheath
Just so you know, I could not get this to comfortably fit the Mora HighQ Robust. Maybe you have to order the one that actually comes with the knife, and maybe that one is form fitted to that knife or something.AnyhowThis was bought for my Classic 1. It fits great, stays secure, yet draws easy. The leather feels plastic, but good, and the inside will definitely hold up against any cutting or stabbing that may happen with the knife going into the sheath. I personally am not a fan of light colored sheaths, so I may try to dye this a different color if I can learn how.Overall, good sheath, and definitely appropriately priced at roughly $12.00.

Outstanding for Mora companion
Very nice well made leather sheath. Perfectly made for Moras. Fits the companion like a glove. I was surprised how well this is made for the price. Quality leather, good stitching and the rivets are sturdy. It also has a really nice plastic insert that is locked in, won't be drawn out with the knife. Like all my leather stuff, I first put on a couple good coats of Huberd's Shoe grease, witch turns a good leather product into an excellent one. IMO Huberd's shoe grease is the best thing for leather goods like holsters, sheaths, boots, belts ect. Obenauf's is good too. It really keeps leather strong and keeps from cracking. Makes it so nice to work with and brings out an amazing color. It doesn't contain animal fats or tallow witch breaks down leather. This sheath is a great buy!!!

Much preferred to the plastic standard sheath
Fits the knife up to about 1/2 way up the handle. Snug and looks nice after a little wear and tear. Very durable and protective of the knife. Brother oiled his for a darker color, I let mine gather scuffs and color along the way, both have excellent appearance after many months of hard use.Cannot recommend highly enough.

The plastic inside holder is sturdy enough, holds the knife tightly inside
A fairly decent sheath. The plastic inside holder is sturdy enough, holds the knife tightly inside, and the whole thing is very durable. The only problem is the belt loop. I wear a knife around the house all the time due to the area where I live and is the first tool I reach for. After one month, one of the rivets on the belt loop came out.........so much for a belt knife. I popped the other out, removed the loop and simply put a neck cord on it ( the kind that was made for cel phones )...now I have a neck sheath, and it works perfectly.....and am using the second sheath sparingly. Recommendation?....stick to original sheath that comes with the knife.

Not so fast
This does not fit any of my knives, they say it will fit the mora, not so ! Not any of mine it don't ! I wanted a nicer sheath then the plastic one ,thought I was there, nope this is way to tight ,oh well ! It's a very nice sheath ,well made too !!! But to tight for my moras !
