Safety 1st Light Zoom Nail Clippers, One Size

These clippers have made both of our lives a lot easier when it comes to clipping my daughter’s finger nails. We both appreciate the light and magnifying glass, both of which are easy to use and adjust as needed. We’ve been using these for a few months and they’re still just as sharp as the first day. They’re made well and well suited for toddler’s fingernails and a parent’s hands. I would recommend these clippers to anyone looking for what I believe is the best option available.

Great for tiny nails, light makes it much easier!!!

I had an older version of this with my first child. It was a *godsend* for clipping baby's nails! So easy to do with baby sleeping without having to turn lights on. Hold baby's hand at an angle where the light from the nail clippers won't be in baby's eyes...or yours...and you won't be blinded. The bright light is amazing for giving confidence in your clipping those delicate nails, and also comes in handy as a flashlight when the kid drops things off the bed or whatnot! The flashlight feature lasted forever. I think it might still work now after 3.5 years. Just as it got older, it would auto shutoff after a shorter amount of time. One side of the clipper part didn't cut as well so I had to be creative in clipping all nails from the same direction. My biggest problem was the handle wouldn't stay down *quite* all the way anymore (the rubber had been chewed on), so it didn't push against the button to turn the light off. When I was done using it, the light would stay on until it auto shut off. So I wanted to get a new one for baby #2, and couldn't find it in store. Came online and found they put out this updated version. It's even bulkier than the first, but that's to make it even easier to hold. I find it just as wonderful as the first one, though I don't need the magnifying glass feature. The plastic around the sides of the clipper makes it feel bulky, and sometimes it's a tight fit between little toenails, but as a mom it is comforting not to worry about accidentally nipping a finger or toe from the side. The beautiful thing is, since you can do it when baby's sleeping, you can be just as careful as you need to be to get the clipper in the right place, without a battle. I occasionally use this on my own nails if I find a snag at night and this saves getting up or turning a light on, but it's not ideal for adult nails.

Minus one star for the chunky front making it difficult to cut little toenails that are close together. Possibly it should only be minus half a star. I love having a light and magnifying glass built in. I am a little older than the average, so I’d have to bust out the reading glasses before I got this. This thing is great. I use the light and the magnifying glass with very little trouble. The magnifying glass took some getting used to. At first, it was a little disorienting and I worried that I wouldn’t be able to continue using it, but it was fine after a couple of uses. The light is nice except that it makes the front so chunky that it’s hard to fit between squirming little toes. Possibly this is unavoidable. You do need housing for everything. It has an auto shut off if it’s on for awhile. I’m slow, so I time it out often but it’s good if you forget to close the clippers and comes right back on if you hit it’s little button. The clippers themselves are good and sharp as expected. I’ve been using it awhile now and haven’t had to change the batteries. The shape is easy to hold. The file is one of those curvy ones and also works as expected.

Visibility is great easily to carry anywhere blade has been great since purchase and that was about three years ago now. Easy use for tiny nails

Took me one minute to do my babies nails! I’ve been using the electric nail files with him and his sister before and they just don’t work and they drag on the nail and wake them up. This is way better!

i bought this for our 14mo baby. the tips worked great in cutting his nails when he was sleeping. but the lens and the light needs some time to get used to it. i was actually struggling while using the light and lens, i just asked my wife to hold her phone and turn the flashlight on. it cuts good just needs time to get used to it. its honestly harder than i thought.

I owned the first edition of these clippers without the magnifying glass and absolutely loved them. They lasted over 8 years before my 18 month old misplaced them. I tried using normal baby clippers but they just weren’t the same I absolutely hated them. So to Amazon I went. I found these and ordered a pair (plus a pair of the original design just incase) THESE ARE AMAZING! I love the comfort of these, the shape is perfect, the clippers are nice and sharp and cut my 18 month old and 2 month olds nails perfectly. The magnifying glass helps see the tiny nails on my 2 month old and help me not accident my clip her skin. I definitely recommend these to anyone who has a small child! These are a perfect gift for a new or experienced parent!

Really practical and good for infants. The size is perfect and very safe to use in babies, started using it in my 2weeks old daughter.
