Quality Pix 1/2 X 83" belt can be used to replace many part numbers on many models that use a 1/2 X 83" belt - To ensure this part goes with your machine you should always go by the model number and serial number, which is normally found under the seat of your riding mower.

Flips itself over on pulleys.
I bought this for my 46" older Craftsman with the correct original part number. This belt would not work: 1) is made out of a different material than OEM - closer to the old-style wrapped belt - much rougher texture than OEM; 2) would flip itself over on the pulleys. Both of these factors cause it to jam and engage the pulleys even when lever disengaged. This makes it impossible to shut off blades - dangerous. Removed, and reinstalled, added dust, would not stay unflipped. Returned.** UPDATE: IMPORTANT: I did some checking, and while this manufacturer states it IS a replacement for Craftsman 139573, it is actually 3/4" too short - which is why the blades are always engaged with this one. The original is 1/2" x 83-3/4", whereas this is 1/2" x 83". **

Mower belts are confusing
For the GT5000 road drive belt there were several different descriptions such as deck belt etc. Ordered by size and was somewhat difficult to install do to mower design. Belt fit perfect and I hope it will have a long life. I think riding mowers are designed in hell.

The belt I received was 81" rather than 83" and ...
The belt I received was 81" rather than 83" and rubs against the pulley on my Craftsman lawn tractor. This listing says it works with part number 139573, but that craftsman belt is supposed to be 1/2 x 83.5, which makes this belt too small.

Cheap no good
I would give this a zero star! I purchased a belt a few weeks ago and it shredded hlafway through mowing my grass. I chalked it up to maybe I ran over something so I ordered another one...Not even halfway through mowing once again the same thing happened.I have tried to contact the seller with no answer. Not a happy customer at all. Will not order from again!

Craftsman GT 5000 drive belt
PIX belts are excellent high quality belts and I have used them before on many other applications. However, this drive belt was installed on a Craftsman GT 5000 with a manual transmission last year. It went on extremely tight. I know eventually it will stretch but after a year the clutch is still super grabby with about half inch of play at most, enough to do wheelies in any 3rd high gear. Clutch brake works fine but have to use low gear for mowing tight spots but still lunges.

right part number, wrong dimensions
I ordered a few belts for my riding lawnmower. My mower has 3 belts. I went to install one of them. It had the correct P/N, but it was too short. I compared it to the one from Sears. The Sears one was longer. I bought it & it fit correctly. I sent the remaining belts back that were made from PIX. I didnt want to try them. When I removed the broken belt, it was made from PIX, also. I bought the lawnmower last year from a private seller, he must have ordered the belt & installed it then. Apparently, it didnt last too long.

Not as it first appeared
I originally wrote a good review about this product, unfortunately that good review was a bit pre meditated, after using this belt on my mower app 5 times it basically turned to elastic, literally it became very stretchy, and unusable

I could table to take along in the RV
I got this table to put alongside the camper. Obviously being a collapsible table it is not meant to hold a ton of weight but it's great for putting out food items and things like that before they go on the grill.
