Try this one.
I have a couple of real good walnut trees that just started bearing last year. Squirls discovered them and quickly stripped the trees. This year I placed an order for a couple pieces of stove pipe. These slick, curved, springy metal stove pipes fit perfectly around the trees. So far, the squirls have been unable to climb the stove pipe or to jump high enough to get above it. Looks like a win, win to me.
