Denon Home 150 Wireless Speaker, Smart Speaker with Bluetooth - Black

UPDATE I have since discovered that the power cable may require a little extra effort to get it fitting snugly. I placed the speaker face down on the desk and inserted the cable perfectly. Now nice and secure. Back up to 5 stars for sound and ease of use. I've being using this unit for a few weeks. I'm very happy with the sound, ease of set up and it is perfect for use in my small room when I am working away on my computer. The only quibble I have with it and the reason I give it 3 stars is that the connection with the power cable is very loose. It does not insert in a firm, stable way.

Really please with the Denon Home 150. It's very well balanced between the hi's and low's with the right amount of bass without being over powering (of course, these settings can be changed anyway to suit your needs). It looks great and is very well made. Doesn't yet have Alexa enabled but believe this to be very soon with the new update so then it'll work as a full voice enabled speaker. More expensive then the Sonos equivalent but I think its worth it. I'll be buying more!

I purchased this to replace my Sonos Play 1, purely because I'm gradually replacing my complete sound system - there is nothing wrong with the Sonos! Firstly, the sound quality from the Denon blows any other multi room system I've heard out of the water, the bass is perfect, the treble is crisp and the range of music is beyond compare. Secondly, the setup is so easy, all you do is download the app onto your phone, connect the speaker to your wireless network and away you go - it picks up any music source on the network and you have the option of TuneIn radio, Spotify, Amazon Music and others. The only downside I've found is that I don't like the app, I much prefer the Sonos app but the quality of the sound out of the Denon more than makes up for the clunky app.

I bought one of these. I was very impressed. I read some reviews the reviews said 2 as a stereo pair would sound even better. I bought a second, They were right. Amazing. How can something so small sound so big/so great. Surprising amount of bass. The vocals sound great too. Very happy with these. These are the smallest, the Home 150. The bigger ones would probably sound even better. these speakers are not cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for

Sounds great, nice to have controls on the top. HEOS app has just had a refresh and is a bit slicker than it used to be but still takes a bit of getting used to. Bought for kitchen radio and multi room with a Denon hi-fi - works great, perfectly synced and easy to group/un-group in the app. Negatives: - preset buttons forget BBC stations after a day or two - unique to BBC according to Denon support and no solution offered. - true smart functionality really only with Alexa - Google assistant integration is very limited to changing volume/tracks etc. Would certainly consider another one for other rooms.

Great speakers great sound looks stylish. Easy to sync with Wi-Fi. Would definitely recommend them.

For small speakers these sound great and you don't tire of their sound when listening all day. My only slight criticism of the sound is that it's slightly "processed." Compared to a high quality hi-fi system the speaker looses some transparency, smoothness and detail, but for a small speaker it's very impressive. I use two speakers formed as a stereo pair. The pairing is performed on the Heos App and generally works well however the Heos App has some issues that Denon seem slow to be resolving. Sometimes on loading, it only finds one speaker and you have to turn the Wi-Fi on and off or even restart your phone to get it to connect to both speakers. The app's grouping function is inconsistent. I have my Denon Home 150 speakers as a stereo pair in one group called "Kitchen." I have another Heos enabled device in my living room. Sometimes I group them together so that the music comes out of all speakers simultaneously i.e. in synch so you don't hear an echo. When you ungroup the two groups (so you can play different music in each room), the Heos App annoyingly also takes each speaker out of the stereo pair i.e. it creates effectively three groups. The stereo pair name also gets randomply changed from what I set it to. Some of the Apps controls are awkward. For example as a stereo pair you can adjust the left and right volume independently by clicking on the respective speaker's slider and sliding the volume up or down. However this function is very hit and miss and you have to try many times to get it to work. It's like the touchscreen function doesn't work well. Sometime ago Denon enabled Alexa Voice Control on the speakers. My wife and I like this function and find it very useful. HOWEVER, be aware that the Alexa Voice Control often conflicts with the Heos App. Worse still, the situation seems to be getting worse, not better! To give an example, Alexa used to control the volume of both speakers together so a commend to Alexa to turn up the volume on "Kitchen" (the group name of the stereo pair) increased the volume on both speakers the same amount. Since a recent update, this function no longer works consistently. Either only the volume on one speaker adjusts, or they both adjust but by different amounts! Looking at the Heos App I can see the changes Alexa makes. Often Alexa takes the speakers out of the stereo pair. This is really annoying especially as it used to work. I have updated and reinstalled everything to no avail. What's even more annoying is that Denon customer care state that Alexa Voice Control was never intended to work with a stereo pair and there's no plan to make it either! So don't be misled by the glossy marketing info you see on this webpage. They highlight both Stereo Pair functioning and Alexa Voice control without stating that these options are incompatible with each other!! I've tried every setting in both the Heos and Alexa apps and cannot get this to work correctly. Whilst I'm on about the Heos App, let me also express my frustration at the greatly simplified cut-down version of user experience the App gives when streaming music. I use Tidal to stream my music due to the high quality. These speakers are great because they receive the music stream via the Wi-Fi direct from Tidal's servers. They don't rely on a bluetooth connection via my phone, so they can play the uncompressed file format, i.e. high quality and yes if you connect via bluetooth and play the same song you can hear the difference in quality. HOWEVER, whereas the Tidal App is great and offers so many useful features, for example the ability to continue playing similar music when your current selection ends, The HEOS APP has none of these features. It operates using a songlist strategy meaning that all of the things I like about Tidal are lost. You have to choose your music via the Heos app but rather than mimicking the Tidal App it offers only a very basic interface to it. To use the Tidal App I would have to connect via bluetooth defeating the point of high quality streaming because bluetooth can't handle the data rate. There are many ways to use these speakers due to their connectivity. These issues are just some of the problems I have encountered due to the way in which I use them (or try to use them). I'm sure there will be more, some of which will break and them be fixed through subsequent updates. Just be aware that however you use your speakers, don't assume this will always be possible. Features that the speakers are marketed as having, may not last long or work with other features and their operation may change.

Amazing sound and integrates seamlessly with the other Denon speakers, have my tv going through a Denon av receiver and wirelessly out through multiple speakers, this one added to them and it’s flawless.

Purchased as a Christmas present, this speaker delivers good quality sound. Size fits in with other products in the area contributing to a great overall sound system

The Denon Home 150 is the best wireless speaker I have purchased so far. I wanted the DLNA feature to play music from my NAS. I found the Denon better than my Bose. There are so many options to stream music, fantastic. Ross
