Can it lay flat into tablet mode, or is it limited to the 130 degrees?

Limited to 130degrees, but can tilt whole assembly onto its back for tablet mode, or easily remove.

Does anyone have a Skin recommendation since this gets Stuffed, damaged and scratched up so easily??

Since the iPad is still vulnerable along the edges if dropped, I am also still looking for a skin that is compatible with the magic & smart keyboards. But I believe since the iPad is connected to both keyboards magnetically, it’ll be challenging in finding one that can be used w/ the keyboards & to use the magnet connection. It’d be great if Apple would develop “edge guards” that could be used while the iPad is all attached to the keyboards & compatible with With the magnet. In the meantime, I have created iPad edge guards using adhesive foam until they do come out with something like that.

Is it comfortable in you’re lap and can it really replace a laptop like MacBook Air?

It’s definitely comfortable in your lap. Not sure about the MacBook Air (because I don’t use a Mac) but there are symbols and a touch pad and things i know nothing about so maybe it is like a MacBook Air.
