we're trying to stop using plastic and these are a great choice. There are other glass ones but the snap lids tend to break down. Hoping these last longer. With this set I like that they are all a good useful size rather than having several small ones included.

However, there are both positives and negatives to these containers.Starting with the positives, the glass containers are sturdy and durable. They are also microwave and dishwasher safe, making them convenient to use. The bamboo lids are eco-friendly and add a nice touch to the overall look of the containers. The glass containers stack nicely, although at some times they are difficult to unstack.On the negative side, the bamboo lids are not as durable as the glass containers. Upon receiving my order some of the bamboo lids were broken and one of the glass containers was cracked. I assumed this may have happened during shipping - not necessarily the fault of the manufacturer.

I ordered these glass containers as part of my effort to reduce plastic exposure with food. Unfortunately the product lid--made of bamboo with a thin silicone(?) gasket--was very cheaply made. Out of the box one of the lids had a torn gasket that prevented the lid from sealing properly on the glass container thus rendering it useless. Upon inspection of the other containers I saw how very thin and susceptible to similar sealing problems the other lids were so I returned the product.

These are great glass rectangle bowls with bamboo lids - they have silicone rims so they seal nicely. I love them. Hold about 2 cups? Wash glass bottoms go in the dishwasher, I hand wash the bamboo lids. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Containers overall are good. I bought 2 sets of 4 and at least 3 of the lids barely sealed and are easily removed. Now after a couple months of usage, the wooden lids on a few have warped slightly.

I like the containers. The lids fit tightly and do not contain chemicals. The glass containers are sturdy.
