I was a bit hesitant of dropping $200+ for these boots but I have zero regrets! I'm an arborist and I've stuck around with Chippewa logger boots for a while and still do. This time I wanted to try something more comfy and lighter since I don't climb everyday due to bucket work. I've worn these Salewa boots for 2 weeks now and have no issues and I am extremely happy with my purchase this far. They are great for climbing and walking all kinds of terrain I even put them to the test by using spurs with these boots and no problem. I still carry my Chippewas for tougher climbs but I got what I expected and then some with this purchase. Great all around boot, well made very sturdy and runs true to size.

Great fitting boot. I've been wearing Salewa boots for a long time and never had any problems with them. They are great on rocky and rooty trails and there hasn't been much snow in the Northeast to try them out in. The midsole is denser then in the Mountain trainer and the EVA is less giving. Excellent stability.

This is one bad ass boot.  Highest quality.  Warmth is medium.  Probably too warm for the summer, perhaps not warm enough on the coldest days but that is debatable.  Size 11 was just as I expected (foot length 10.5 inches).
