I bought this to help with night time hot flushes, I think it helps me feel more comfortable. Whilst being warm enough for winter, it's also very light and easy to move on and off the body as needed. I like the fact it's natural materials and British wool, I haven't detected any wool odour (and I'm quite sensitive to smell). I would recommend a wool duvet to anyone - menopausal or not!

King size - medium 7-10 tog- non washable purchased. Duvet arrives in its own calico bag which is nice to store it in. I can honestly say I couldn’t detect any smell with the duvet. It’s thinner & not lumpy like a down duvet. Very easy to put inside the duvet cover as it has substance about it and stays square and flat, so it looks neat. It lies across the body, nice and light and airy with a comforting weight, & doesn’t smother and suffocate you like a down duvet does- especially if you’re a hot sleeper. The temperature control is just astounding- I haven’t woken up once damp or sweating as I did with both a 4 tog and 10 tog down duvet. My husband, who sleeps normally, likes it but agrees about the ‘drape’ (he’d sleep like a mummy if he could). Altogether it’s a lovely product at a great price that I have been recommending to friends. I now look forward to bed every night!

This is a quality duvet. When it arrives it does smell a bit like a farm yard. I aired it on the washing line which got rid of most of the smell and, after using it for a couple of nights, the smell had more or less gone. Surprisingly, the smell isn’t that bad anyway and it reinforces the naturalness of the product. The duvet itself is a nice weight. It’s not really light like a polyester filled duvet and rests on your body comfortably. You don’t need to shake it to redistribute the filling like a feather and down duvet as the wool stays in place within the cover. The best bit about the duvet is the heat control. I’ve slept under it on both mild and cold nights and the temperature has felt perfect. Not too hot nor too cold. This is a fantastic duvet and I don’t think I’d consider anything other than wool again.

Was unsure about a wool duvet but this one from the woolroom is excellent and good quality and really dose help regulate your sleeping temperature.will be buying the full winter duvet from them next

This was pretty much what I expected. It’s warm so far, but not uncomfortable. One thing: when it arrived it had a distinct odour. It’s definitely not unpleasant as its just the smell of natural wool. After a few days, it’s pretty much gone. If you’re used to synthetic duvets (like I was) it’ll be a surprise. Am I happy with it? Very much so.

FINALLY after purchasing many sleeping bags and polyester duvets All just making me wake up too hot I have found one that works for me!!! 😀🥳🥳🥳 Being a HOT SLEEPER it's very hard to find that perfect sleeping cover. Thankfully I have found U just at the right time as it starts to get colder now at night time sleeping. I ordered the MEDIUM one to start with but just woke up too hot with this one, so I then ordered the LIGHT one and it has turned out PERFECT 👌 It feels a little cold to start with but then U warm up and the MOST IMPORTANT THING is I don't wake up too hot. It is not a puffy duvet but what I can describe as like a FLAT QUILTED COAT. As previous reviews kept mentioning the smell I took a chance but in my opinion IT DOESN'T SMELL AT ALL. It doesn't rustle or make any noise aswell as I move about. Without a duvet cover because it is LIGHTWEIGHT U have to tuck yourself in to not feel the draught. But since I have put my velvet duvet cover on it makes it heavier which is Great as the weight now makes it DRAUGHT PROOF. If it does get colder as the winter progresses I can always add my Sherpa/ Velour blanket on top... Then if I wake up too hot I can just sleep with the duvet. Thank you once again WOOLROOM 🙏😘 for NOW making my WINTER SLEEPING warm but not too sweaty hot 🥵😁XX Would Highly recommend to All menopausal Hot sleepers out there.

This is by far the best duvet I’ve ever used. It feels like an old fashioned duvet, reassuringly comfortable. It is quite thin but it is dense so it feels very different to the synthetic duvets most of us are used to and is heavier than down duvets (plus you don’t get feathers poking you in the night). The temperature regulating qualities are outstanding. I run hot at the best of times and now I’m of a certain age, my old duvet just used to make me sweat but now I am perfectly cool without being cold. I am getting the best sleep I’ve ever had. The only slight point of note worth mentioning is the smell, there is a distinct odour of sheep and it takes a while for it to go. Personally I don’t mind it, and my border collie pup who came from a sheep farm is in his element, but if you don’t like the sweet scent of rural life, just be warned. But smell aside, this is a fantastic product and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a great nights sleep.

TOP CLASS product's from this company! We have used 'THE WOOLROOM ' on a few ocassions, and never been let down! YES, they may appear a tad expensive, after all, you only get what you pay for, but would you not prefer to be paying for something which is natural, as opposed to man-made polyester etc. I cannot bear the weight of a cheap as chips duvet on my legs as I have a serious, and worsening spinal column injury which affects my nerves ........ the answer was this company. I also find a 13.5tog quilt far too warm. The Woolroom have them starting from 4.5tog, which I use all year round, it's amazing the difference wool makes to the warmth and the weight. Best of all, they are a British company. As for their pillows, I feel a wee bit let down in these they are low and soft, but you can buy a bag of spare wool, which I did when purchased my pillows along with my new magical duvet, they do warn you of this issue, therefore at the time of purchase, I bought 2 bags of spare wool to rectify this issue if necessary. Knowing the financial position we find ourselves in at present, they could at least provide a bag of extra wool free, but they don't! If I remember correctly, the extra wool is only about £12. Some of you may be thinking that being wool, these are smelly, but not in the slightest! The wool has been so well washed, that the life has been washed out of it. Best of all, it's hypoallergenic, if you feel that your pillows are getting a bit whiffy with sweat when you are sleeping, you can take the wool out of your pillows, I'd recommend putting the wool in a net laundry bag and hang it up to dry maybe ruffling it up in the bag to ensure that it dries evenly. No matter what it is you need try the WOOLROOM first, you'll be amazed at the comfort of their products, which I should mention all come in storage bags except the spare wool which disappointed me a little. I'll call them though and ascertain if I can buy a couple of pillow sized bags to keep my spare wool in! Finally all I will say is 'The Woolroom' all the way, and as we hopefully come out of this pandemic, they will continue to flourish and the Company become a British success story!!
