Original model (El Cid) no longer available. At first it looked like I'd have to spend hundreds for an equivalent pump, but found this one as a great alternative. Their videos are short yet very helpful, explaining that the 3 meters of head pressure is actually more than adequate when working with a closed pressurized loop like this. My old system still has the original PV panel on the roof to run the pump with no additional sensors or switches. This panel may have originally been rated at 24V, but this new pump has built-in protection if the voltage is greater than 24V or less than 6V, so I thought it was worth a try before replacing the panel. It works great. No power lights unlike my old one, but it gently whirs/hums when powered so you know when it's working. The 1/2" fittings were the same as my old pump to replacement was little more than plug & play. I did have to make 2 cuts in a copper pipe due to space constraints, but this was easy with a hand pipe cutter & I used a single piece of flex mesh piping with a Shark Bite fitting on one end (already attached, although you can get separately).
