The speaker is nice and crisp and the volume can go quite high. The weather band can come in a little staticky but it depends on where you put the radio to get better reception clarity. I was able to get three of the WB channels quite clearly. The AM/FM comes in nice and clear once you tune the knob. I use this radio in my garage and it looks and works great!. Really happy with my purchase and I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a simple easy to use portable radio.
