HP Pavilion Intel Pentium Silver N5000 4GB 128GB SSD Windows 10 Laptop Red

Bought this for a friend living in East Africa that needed it for their child to get back into school (COVID had the schools shut in their area for over a year and a half and only the lucky kids with a computer and internet access keep getting educated). I never even opened the box, but kept it sealed so it would go through customs via a passenger's luggage, easier. However, they have no complaints about it! Works amazing for what they need it for. Great little "cheap" laptop for sure!

My son really likes his red laptop, but we're having to send it back because the seller G-overstock doesn't have the Windows license, meaning we can't activate Windows 11. We tried sticking with Windows 10, but that only worked for a couple months, and now (horror of horrors) Minecraft won't open.

It has been just over a month since I got it. For what I do, email, read articles, shop, play poker, this is a great machine. It came within a reasonable time. My only complaint is that it comes with Windows 10 S. It says it comes with Windows 10 (check the chart), but it was in the S mode. It seemed simple to remove or shut off but it would not and after repeated attempts and some foul language at the Microsoft site, I appealed to their Community and went to bed. The second response the next day solved the issue and after following the prompts I was able to get it out of S mode. Props to the Microsoft Community. Now I can add any App (hello Chrome, bye Edge) I want regardless of Microsoft's feelings. If the chart had been correct or this had come without the S Mode this would be a 5-star review.It is thin and has a large screen. It has a louder volume from the speakers than my older HP Pavillion. That is a good thing as the last one was not loud enough. It is also lighter than my last one and the battery lasts about 4x as long. If there is a fan I can not hear it, but there seems to be very little heat. So far so good.

I love this laptop. The battery life is exceptional, it’s very durable and functions well for long periods of use. The screen size is optimal and allows for great movie watching. Value for money for sure. I use this laptop to work virtually so you know is great.

2026 Update: I STILL have not had 1 single issue with this laptop: But it now belongs to my parrot, Hank the Bird, so he can watch videos. So I will be buying another one for me LOL; This was listed as ‘Used - Good Condition’ . And if this is what they deem good I would love to see what they list as As New or Great or Very Good …. Seriously… not a scratch… nothing wrong at all. The only thing I’ve noticed is perhaps the battery life is reduced just as all even new laptops, the battery life is decreased within the 1st month or so, but still, it’s around 6 hours. I am very happy with my purchase. I have not had to use their customer service as of yet but that is a good sign LOL

I’ve updated this their team to do business with! I needed a new laptop to run a arcade style dance game. This laptop is loaded with everything and more than I need. When I had a couple questions they got back to me pretty quick with the needed answers. The price was fair. It seems seldom you get any kind of personal service on amazon, dehumanized most of time. These guys do a good job injecting some humanization back into the game. Lot of things are done through not releasing email addresses. I got direct response via my cellphone, I’m not going to mention his or her name. They made very clear asking if I was happy with purchase, made my day, seldom do you get a response like that, and expressing concern if anything else I needed. Thanks!

The computer is great. It was easy to set up, it is fast, and it has a lot of really cool features. I use it for college and am very pleased. The battery life is excellent. I highly recommend it.

Now it refuses to turn on after an update. Apparently one other customer had this issue and now I wish that I had listened to them. This always seems to happen, not just with hp but with laptops in general. Every single issue I have ever had with a laptop came about as the result of an update. Black screen? Had it. Blue screen? Several times. No power? Yup! All of which resulted from a stupid update that I never even asked for.It's definitely getting power because (and the other guy said this too) the power indicator is lit up, but there's zero action on the screen. Tried all troubleshooting methods: Ctrl alt delete, win b shift Ctrl plus abc def xyz. All of em and nothing. Nothing's happening. I'm honestly officially done with windows, HP, updates, Microsoft and the whole shebang. Just effing done. And thanks to this lovely pandemic we're having, I have no way to replace, repair, resuscitate or even get a refund for it, since, like I said, it's been less than a year that I've had it, but still longer than the return window. Just. Great.

There was a message appeared when opening the Laptop shows "NO HARD DRIVE INSTALLED"

Quedé satisfecha con mi compra. Es un buen equipo, lo utilizo solo para escribir, trabajo, videos y música. La memoria podría mejorar pero es cierto que es cuestión personal, ya que las actualizaciones pesan un montón y no permite tener muchas aplicaciones. Sin embargo me es funcional.
