Power of a Praying Husband is a great book for men to both understand their wives better but also how to pray and support so both husbands and wives can have more fulfilling marriages in Christ. To be honest, most couples do need marriage counseling that is sorely missing from the modern world and something like this can be a good stand in for married couples who want to draw closer to God and each other. Now this is not a men are bad book. In fact, there is Power of a Praying Wife to complete this series. Even if a wife or husband is "good" there are still things they can do to understand their spouse better and of course pray for their needs.

What a wonderful book! This review is for both The Power of a Praying Husband and The Power of a Praying Wife. These books are so filled with wonderful prayers, wonderful insight and God's Word to provide the guidance you need to become the prayer warrior your husband / wife desires! The first day that I (the wife) prayed through The Power of a Praying Wife, just flipping through the pages, I was amazed at how much of what she was discussing was relevant to MY marriage. I've been married 22 years, to a wonderful, godly man. I struggle with being steadfast in my walk, and this book series is helping me tremendously! Several key issues that I really like that she points out...It's not just a 'submit' and do what your husband says kind of book. I do fully believe in submission, and my hearts desire is that I will passionately pursue that...but I get distracted. Her books allows you to realize that your husband is NOT perfect. We don't blindly follow where he leads. We don't confront him on every issue that he may not be 100% right on, we don't jump just because he said to jump, and most important...we DON'T take for granted that our husband will not be tempted, not be angered, not be frustrated because he is a Christian. These are things I am guilty of! Praying for your husband to be convicted and not be allowed to remain in sin (that was shocking for me!) My husband doesn't have that issue, but I've been counseling with a lady whose husband's anger is completely out of control at times, his priorities are completely misaligned, gave her and I both peace about not following him blindly into sin, and to pray diligently for him. Stormie has great insight into REAL marriage, not the phony that so many try to put on. I'm so blessed by these books!
