More than 100,000 entrepreneurs rely on this book. The National Science Foundation pays hundreds of startup teams each year to follow the process outlined in the book, and it's taught at Stanford, Berkeley, Columbia and more than 100 other leading universities worldwide. Why? The Startup Owner's Manual guides you, step-by-step, as you put the Customer Development process to work. This method was created by renowned Silicon Valley startup expert Steve Blank, co-creator with Eric Ries of the "Lean Startup" movement and tested and refined by him for more than a decade. This 608-page how-to guide includes over 100 charts, graphs, and diagrams, plus 77 valuable checklists that guide you as you drive your company toward profitability. It will help you: ย Avoid the 9 deadly sins that destroy startups' chances for success ย Use the Customer Development method to bring your business idea to life ย Incorporate the Business Model Canvas as the organizing principle for startup hypotheses ย Identify your customers and determine how to "get, keep and grow" customers profitably ย Compute how you'll drive your startup to repeatable, scalable profits. The Startup Owner๏ฟฝs Manual was originally published by K&S Ranch Publishing Inc. and is now available from Wiley. The cover, design, and content are the same as the prior release and should not be considered a new or updated product. Review: Awesome book! - Great addition to the self-improvement book collection! Review: Best book to start business - One of the best books on starting a business. One idea is got from this book is to build the product with customer. You have to find beta users first and then co-create the product with customers feedback. I am exactly doing it the same way. Get out of the building is the key concept

Step by step business โalmanachโ
The book is very thorough in conveing to the reader of a step by step guide for creating products. The customer discovery part is viewed by the author as the most important and as such, the book is an exciting read during this phase. Afterwards, the book seems to be a bit dull and overdogmatic. Personally, I think that the book should serve as a general guideline towards assessing the current state of a product and planning itโs future steps, and should not be taken absolutelly โad literamโ.

Business Bible
I recommend every person who is looking to start working on his/her business idea to read this book first before anything else. I've started a business a year ago and as any other startup I had very very slow progress and alot of learning to do. Then I found this book ....it has helped me save so much time, it breaks what you need to do into actionable steps. The author recognize the importance and respects the entrepreneur's time by not babbling and talking gibberish like most startup books. Hes like, You need to do customer discovery first and to do that you need to do 1.2.3.4 if you have a physical product and 1.2.3.4 if you have a digital product.

The best book so far for the startups. The most value in this book is its eye opening and clear statement on difference between startup and business company

Very helpful book for startups
Kindle version. The book lays out the 4 steps to a successful startups, though in this manual, only the first two steps are covered in detail. It is a reference book and while you can read from cover to cover, most likely you will need to come back to it and check out certain sections when you're starting your company. I would have wanted the step by step guide for the final 2 steps but given the definition of a startup "temporary organization in search of a repeatable, scalable profitable business model", I guess the first 2 steps are the most important. Overall, I think this book is really helpful for anyone who wants to found a startup. It is applicable to both technology and product startups.

Raccomandatissimo!

The original learn startup book
This book is behind most of the startup advice you read on the internet. Not to say that other people are copying, it's just that Steve was early in the game and others have taken parts of this and dived deeper into a section or particular challenge one could face in the journey. Also, for once the book arrived undamaged via Amazon which is nice.

Repetitive
I think the concept is good and it makes sense to do the customer searching before dig in too far with an app or product development. The topic and steps of the book can be reduced significantly from 600 pages to 100.
