A: Yes. However, I always look for 3rd party warranties and insurance plans. They can offer more coverage and often for longer periods, at a reduced price. Currently a quote from Succuranty for this model refurbished is $5 month for 3 years and covers more than AppleCare! 
Do some research before purchasing!

**Q: Would you recommend this macbook for digital music making? i’d like to run ableton live on this and maybe a few other programs. will it run smoothly?**
A: To start you’ll be fine. But the more you add plugins and tracks on your project, you’ll need more ram and processing power. I recommend quad core processors and up. More cores = more multi tasking. Multitrack audio production is a whole lot of multitasking

**Q: Has anyone had any problems with this MacBook once you received it?**
A: Computer was fine. we never did get our extended insurance policy however.  good luck.
