The book arrived in good condition. Content-wise, this should be considered supplementary reading for those working with children, just an add-on. It’s definitely not a substitute for any readings about play therapy philosophies or techniques, as it does not include much experiential insights or core therapeutic philosophies essential to working with children. I appreciated the authors break down schema needs according to different age groups and offer ideas on how to communicate effectively with parents. Writing-wise, is clear and simple, no unnecessary embellishments or overly fancy language, which I personally like. While schema therapy is still evolving in child field, so don't expect the content to be highly in-depth, while the book does a good job of introducing key concepts and valid concerns when integrating schema therapy with child works.
