I love these for their simplicity using a standard outlet, standard bulbs, and a switch on the lamp (not the cord). I installed one easily on the faux-wood hutch over my desk without issue. The second one I tried to install on a painted wooden shelf, but the clamp would always slip, so I drilled a single screw from the top to reinforce. I discovered the clamp has a metal core covered with plastic. Well made and affordable.

I use this lamp daily as a nail technician, and it has been a great addition to my workspace. The adjustable swing arm makes it easy to position exactly where I need it, and the lighting is bright and even, which helps me see details clearly during nail services. The clamp is sturdy, saves desk space, and the lamp feels well-made. Highly recommend for nail technicians, beauty professionals, or anyone needing focused task lighting.

This lamp is light weight yet sturdy. It was a breeze to install. All that was required was to attach two springs, twist on the lamp shade, attach clamp, and insert lamp. The lamp is easily adjustable and positioned and stays in place.

Overall, it's okay. The main problem is the fixed position of the base, which needs to be tightened frequently, and it is easy to loosen.

I got one of the 50 dollar LED desk lamp light s available here on Amazon and I ended up returning it. Sometimes simplicity is key. I didn't need all those touch buttons and complicated dimming features and on/off features. This is so simple. The clamp works very well and you can put in the bulb of your choice. Change the bulb according to your desired color temperature. The only minor complaint is the swiftly feature that closest to the clamp base is very loose. It just means you can easily turn it in any direction without resistance. It falls into the clamp whole very easily and remains a little loose. This really doesn't affect it's performance as it's not swiveling all over the place,, it's just noticeable that it it loose. Save some money and some frustration and get a basic and very usable desk lamp. This is it! UPDATE 8/16/2026 After owning this for several years I've attached photos of the screws that you would need if the lamp starts drooping. Over time turning that little black knob right by the lamp may work, but it'll begin to give out. You can find this screws pictured at any major hardware store. Simply unscrew the current screw all the way and remove the old screw. Get a Phillips screw and then just use that. It's tighter than ever. I should have done this years ago. I was tightening this by hand regularly. Now it's very tight.

I love my light. I bought it for task lighting around my wood shop. I put a 100 watt LED daylight bulb in. The bulb does not stick out of the metal lamp shade. The lamp shade does not get hot. I am not using the clamp that it came with, because I aim moving it around a lot. Workbench, Router Table, Table Saw, Miter Saw. When I do get it to where I like it, I will drill a hole in the workbench or wherever. For now I drilled a hole in a small scrap of wood, 5”X10”. I weigh it down with a brick. Works great. I gave it 4 stars for range of motion because when I stretch it out it falls. So I move the brick with a rag on it next to the arm, and it stays where I want it without it falling down. There is a turn knob where the arms meet. It doesn’t lock it to keep it where you want it. That is why I use the brick. Just attached the 2 springs to the arm and put the metal lamp shade on and you are ready to go. Did not have to remove any screws or hardware.

Before owning this, I have tried several LED lamps with adjustable neck and dimmable brightness. They were 3-4 times more expensive, however they were not very impressive, with a certain design flaws and QC issues that I had them returned. Then I started looking into buying just a cheaper swing arm lamp with an LED bulb. On receiving this unit, I was surprised by its construction, it's very solid, and the switch is way user-friendlier than I expected. Using an A19 (or A60) LED bulb of 12W it's now super bright. To make it dimmer I just point it to shoot at the wall, and the reflected light is just alright for reading in my office. The traditional design using two springs to keep the orientation of the lamp is great, making it fully customizable as well holding its position without any sliding. The whole set totalled just around $40 with the bulb, and I am totally satisfied. Finally, I have to leave the cons, but it's rather related to the bulb, in which the same won't happen for dedicated LED lamps (those cost more). My bulb has a small issue of flickering, shaking a pen laterally under it I can see multiple shapes, which is a sign of not high enough PWM frequency. If you are serious about this, and also want to build your own LED lamp using this swing arm lamp, you may need to pay some attention when picking the bulb.

El acabado de la pintura es de excelente calidad (negro brillante), el armado es sumamente sencillo, y el precio es muy accesible. Aun no he probado las posiciones pero para mis necesidades es suficiente. Muy recomendable para escritorios de niños o jovenes para ahorrar espacio.
