We have only been using it this summer but it was easy to fit, easy to use and works well. Someone has obviously thought about the practicalities of using it as you can open the zip in two places so you can zip up around your hose and also open the zip in a seperate place to use your window handle to open/close the window. You can easily close your window without having to remove the seal as it just folds up as you close the window although it your that bothered it only attached with velcro so you can remove it if you think it looks bad. Reading reviews for multiple products i did see a regular issue with all these kits which we have encountered which is near the hot air exhaust the sticky parts seem to detach occasionaly but we this only seems to happen if you have it taught and they have always just stuck back on for us at the moment. Whether this works long term.i.e. we can reuse it next year we will have to see but it seems fine at the moment.

Seems to work ok. Does it provide an airtight seal? No. Does it need to? No. Does it keep insects out? Yes. Are the instructions clear? No. Do you need them? Not really. Stick the tape around the window. Stick the tape around the frame. Attach the material to both - make sure the thickest bit of material is in the middle of the widest gap. Undo the zip, stick the pipe through and do up the zip, use the cable clips to keep it done up. That's all it needs really.

Fiddly but worth the effort to fit, if you have a side hinged window, which I do.

Lack of Customisation: It’s a "one size fits most" design, which means if your window is significantly smaller than 400cm, you end up with excess fabric that can look a bit messy or "baggy" on the frame. Difficulty with Window Operation: Because the glue isn't incredibly strong, the tugging and pulling required to open or close the window often causes the seal to peel away from the frame. It’s best suited for a window you plan to leave shut for the summer. Expert Tip for Buyers: To make this product truly "permanent" for the season, I highly recommend buying a roll of heavy-duty industrial Velcro or double-sided mounting tape. The fabric seal itself is high quality; it’s just the included glue that lets it down. Replacing the stock tape makes the whole setup much more stable when you need to adjust the window.

The product works as described, although i would recommend sizing up a decent amount from the size of your window frame. My window was ~420cm and i sized to 500cm, if i got a 400, or anywhere closer such as 450, i do not think it would have worked as well. The velcro was relatively easy to set up, the cloth itself is a good thickness, but was finicky to get right, i had to leave ~30cm off of each of the tiny ends and leave them loose as they were not wide enough for the angle the window opened to, as why i suggest sizing up quite a bit. Overall, I am really well surprised by the quality and how well and effectively this product works. Great value for money.

I have the worst and most useless type of all windows (tilt window with bottom side hinge, opens inwards). This seal does the job well. Material is durable and feels thick enough. Width is good enough to seal around your open window while your AC is working. Look is ok and fit for purpose, it’s hidden behind the curtain anyway. I used this product for a window with the longest side about 110cm long. Would have given a 5 star rating if the product had come with some extra soft-side velcro to be placed as needed for extra sealing. The product only comes with a lengthy roll of the rough-side velcro, while the soft velcro is readily sown onto the sealing bag. For this reason you may need an extra bit of velcro to tighten around the edges. Still a very good product I would recommend.

Bought this summer as the window seal that came with my AC didn’t fit. Easy to apply, and the white velcro blends in nicely. Added a shoelace to tie the zippers as a precaution with my cat. Without this seal, the AC barely worked — after adding it, the room felt much cooler, so it clearly keeps the hot air out.
