A Must-Have for Embroidery or Punch Needle Projects
I'm still fairly new to punch needle embroidery and find myself jabbing the punch needle into a neighboring yarn hoop on occasion. These scissors make it easy to trim the extra long hoops so that they are level with the rest of the hoops. They're comfortable to hold and make it easy to achieve the angle I need for trimming and shaping.

good scissor, but uncomfortable.
These scissors cut very well, however they are very painful on my thumb. I am trying to figure out a solution to cushion the thumb hole.

Not just for Machine Embroidery...Every household needs a pair!
I originally found a pair of these in an estate sale. There were no markings on them but I was determined to find another pair because they were so useful with cutting any sewing thread, embroidery thread or yarn without any risk to cutting the fabric or item you are working on - it's the awesome curved tip. In any case, I was pointed to Amazon from a fellow crafter and immediately purchased them so now I have a pair next to my machine and next to my chair I use for hand stitching projects. The scissors arrived quickly and as expected. Don't wait...order your pair today. I am not updating to say that I have now bought my second pair of these scissors. I have now discovered that they are awesome for clipping stray threads off of clothes...like my son's NJROTC uniform or his uniform shoes. Newest pair arrived quickly as well.
