Get this on your wishlist pronto
Don't understand why there are mixed reviews for it not being a good value for the money. I've had this in our outdoor smoke room for over three years now and it has gone through snow, wind, rain, and hell and it still outperforms any Amazon purchase we have made as a family since. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a highly versatile alternitive option for a light switch. It takes less time to fart out two sequences of sound then it does to flick a switch, and is more fun. BARB DEFINITELY APPROVES. 😊😏😂⚰️

It aint perfect but it works. See Explanation.....
It has 3 settings. high , low and away. I don't know what away is but the low and high mean how sensitive the clapper is to your claps. On low , I slam my hands together Really Loud and sometimes I have to do this 2 or 3 times. I am strong so it should work once. Hence Low is no good for me. On High, once in a while there will be a loud sound like a book being slammed down on a table and the clapper will turn on or off the lamp. But this is rare. So I have it on High and am happy with it.

Didn't work, lights turned on when no one was in room.
Didn't work. The lights went on by themselves in the middle of the night when no one was in the room. I had to get up, go upstairs, tried to "clap" it off and that didn't work, so I just unplugged the whole thing. I chucked the box weeks ago so I can't return it. Cute idea for a room where the light switches are hard to reach from bed, if it worked.

Bad reviews are overblown. This is great
Im gonna start off by saying the bad reviews really made me question my purchase but it’s not “a piece of junk” it’s good it just takes some getting used to. Practice getting the clap right because it is a specific rhythm you gotta do but once you get it down it works like a charm. Do have to clap a bit loudly then again I do have music playing and a fan on but maybe at night when everything always seems to sound louder because there’s no noise throughout the house a quieter clap will suffice but I still have to test that; I don’t want to wake anybody up with my shenanigans. But overall great product works as advertised clap on, clap off just don’t expect it to respond to your claps without a bit of practice getting the rhythm down, but it’s not hard or annoying once u know how it wants you to clap Update: At night it’s actually harder to use because your claps sound like they’re very loud while not actually being that loud. In the daytime no problem using it from my bed but at night when the whole house is silent the claps have to sound very loud (even though they’re not actually that loud it’s just very quiet around me) and this actually stops me from using it late at night because I don’t want to wake anyone up but my workaround to this is just to make sure I turn my lights off right as everyone is heading to bed. Maybe a slight inconvenience but since it works for 95% of the day it’s ok. And late at night if I really have to turn the lights on you can get close to the box and clap quietly so it works out to be honest

3 stars because when it works it's great but it has it's issues. Great for Christmas lights.
When this works it's great. It has that retro chic kinda vibe to it that yeah, you can accomplish with a phone and a smart plug, but it just has that old-school feel and nostalgic throwback to the ads from years ago. Great for Christmas trees and lights. That being said..... lol... it has it's issues. It works maybe 50% of the time to the point that I've almost returned it a couple of times out of frustration but I think it's too late now. You can't place this near anything that has a speaker on it and expect it to work whole sound is coming out of the speaker. I guess I just though it was smart enough to tell what was a clap and what was music, but it's not. Installation is simple and there's a two-clap outlet and a three-clap outlet on it so you can have two different devices attached with different claps to activate. If you saw the ads and remember the clap they used, well it doesn't work like that. It probably made for a catchy ad but at least with the device that we got, you need a much longer pause between claps to get it to work so if you're having trouble getting things to turn on with the clap from the ads try a longer pause and see if that helps. Should be 15 bucks tops. 21 or 22 bucks is a bit much for what this is.

It’s a great little Appliance !
This is the old-fashioned clapper, it’s good to use for a senior citizen that has trouble turning the lights on and off. The only suggestion I have is to be patient with the it , it has to get used to your clapping sequence, then it works very well

Clapper review
I know this is an older invention but it works great! No more having to contort my arm around the lamp shade- so easy to set up and use!

Love this in our bedroom
Got this because toddler often falls asleep while we are reading books and wanted a way to turn off the light without moving them, and this did just that. It takes some getting used to in terms of the “sound” the clap should make but it works wonderfully and just what you’d expect

always wanted to own one :)
always wanted to own one of these ever since I watched Bruce Almighty as a child. It works remarkably well - one bit of advice though, if you do intend to use this in the UK, make sure you get a device that'll drop from 220v+ to 120v- otherwise the device you plug into it, will try and draw more power than this device can supply voltage wise, and it may cause an electrical fire!

Cumple con sus funciones
Tienes que acostumbrarte a lograr el tono y volumen adecuado, pero si tu lo logras el equipo funciona, en mi casa me han odiado por estar aplaudiendo en la madrugada...
