Is this gentle enough for delicate and sensitive scalps? Does it pull out hair?

Surprisingly yes. My hair is fine AND thin, so every strand is precious! I thought the plastic nodules would pull on my hair enough to break strands while using it to massage the scalp, but it doesn't if you, yourself, are sensible and gentle. A hint--if using this in the shower to comb conditioner through and detangle hair after shampooing, do so under running water.
