This penne pasta has become a go-to in our kitchen. It cooks up perfectly al dente in about 10 minutes and holds sauces really well—especially heavier ones like Alfredo or meat sauce. The shape is ideal for baked pasta dishes too. I appreciate that the texture stays firm and doesn’t get mushy if slightly overcooked. One downside is that the packaging doesn’t reseal, so I transfer it to a container for storage. Still, it’s great value for the price and super versatile. Whether it’s a quick dinner or a side dish, this pasta always comes through.

Our picky family loves DeCecco pastas. It can be a pricier than the generic market brand or Barilla but it's well worth the price IMO. I put this on our monthly subscribe and save so we never forget or run out and it saves us a few pennies or I stock up when it goes on sale. Now for the important part - the flavor and texture. We cook our pasta al dente. The penne pasta has an excellent flavor and the texture is firm, never mushy, and does not fall apart. It has a nice chewy bite. It has a slightly course surface that allows the pasta sauce to stick to the surface. One box can feed our hungry family of 5 with a few sides and lots of meat sauce. We've also tried making our own homemade pasta but after a few tries, conceded that DeCecco is just superior and tastes better without the extra work. Just grab it, I promise you won't regret trying.

No matter what De Cecco pasta I buy, I know it will always be the highest quality with rich flavor and a wonderful "bite". De Cecco is definitely a cut above the rest!
