Can I mix this with my loose incense and light to burn it, in place of placing on a charcoal disc to burn?

You can, but how well it will work depends on the ingredients. If you use loose incense that has been powdered, you will get the best results. If you use loose incense that is coarser, you'll have to work harder to find a ratio that will work. As a general guide, I'd use 1 part powdered incense to 2 parts tabu-no-ki (makko). Try that, and then you can begin to adjust to ratios to get the exact scent you want. Have fun!

How can i make these stay lit? I let them dry 5 days thanks

While it's possible they aren't dry, after 5 days, they should be ready to burn in most cases after that amount of time. Incense making is a lot like baking. The answer to your question probably lies in the recipe you used. Contact me with your recipe and I'll see if I can spot any issues. To fix the incense you've already made, there are a couple of things you can try. First, add some essential oil to your dry incense. Just a drop or two for cones, a little more for sticks, and that will make them more likely to burn. Spread the oil along the entire length of the incense and allow to dry for an hour before lighting. Second, you can mist the dry incense with a light coat of water and then roll the incense in the tabu-no-ki powder. Let dry for 48 hours, knock off any loose powder, and they will probably burn. DON'T try both methods on the same incense. Water and essential oils don't play well together. Send me your recipe and I'd be happy to take a look.

Works great, exactly what I had hoped for.

I made incense for the 1st time and it came out amazing. Incense dragon has everything you need but for now all I've gotten from them was the makko and white ash. I powdered my own resins, raided my kitchen spice rack and bought some sandlewood powder to use as a base for now. I'm super happy with the play dough like consistency I got in both attempts and the cone rolled out perfectly. It's been drying quickly and after several hours enough of a cone was dry for me to test it. It smells like Christmas lol.
