It works, expect sore fingers.
Works great, time after time. Had to Polish the neck some as the rod was tight since I have more neck tension. Don’t use this in a rush and don’t do too many in an evening, lots of work and fingers get tired.

It just plain works.
I'm biased because I'm from Wisconsin and love that Lee is manufactured here in Hartford, WI. But even if I wasn't I can honestly say that everything I've used from them has just simply worked. This case length gauge is no different. For the price it can't be beat and I honestly don't know how something more expensive could be any more precise than this already is. I was able to consistently cut 45 300 blk cases down to within .0005 to .001 of each other....and honestly that was probably the caliper I was using and the margin of error that it inherently has. I'm happy and honestly won't need to use this tool all that often. Maybe once every 4 or 5 reloads. So why go nuts and spend more for something that will do exactly the same job. Oh and did I mention that Lee makes all of their stuff In Wisconsin? Honestly how can you not want to support an American manufacturer.

Works well & invaluable
Aside from my first 300 AAC BO that I cast and reloaded (don't laugh at the attached as it was my first try haha! I needed to get the temp hotter).I have a good bit of 223 brass to start with and in order to cut them down to reform them for 300 BO, you absolutely need a case gauge and this one is the most inexpensive one you can get and it just works! In order to cut 223 down for 300 AAC, use a pipe cutter (cheaper than a 2" saw) right below the 223 shoulder, deburr it, lube it and then put it in the Lee 300 full resizing die....then just use this case gauge to cut it down to the correct length and reload! If you find some cases don't feed correctly but the boolit is sized right, the parent 223 case might've had too thick of walls and need to be reemed out a bit. I had some issues with cutdown Lake City brass.Good luck & good shootin'!
