A Good LurkingBehind the TV is a place, to be truthful, that I rarely venture. All sorts of things may be lurking there and of course not forgetting the odd wire or two – the number of which seem to have multiplied since not that many years ago when there was just a plug and an aerial! Seems a long time ago now. Some years ago we decided, not being able to afford Sky, to invest in Freesat. The man came and pulled the wires through the wall. I asked him about a nice little box or plate so that the cables could be finished neatly. There then came a laugh that Santa himself would have been pleased with for he told me that nobody did this any more. It was far better just to pull the wires through tack them to the skirting board and leave them to flap in the breeze and hopefully slot in somewhere behind the Freesat box. This would also make sure that the signal was in no way affected.My wife decided to have the lounge decorated and upon clearing the room the wires, still tacked on the skirting, were very visible. The decorator asked about these and I told him my tale. He also laughed and told me that he had a rather large drill in his van if I could obtain a nice shiny plate of the type I had thirsted after all those years ago, he would sort it. Enter Amazon logistics who overnight not only delivered this rather super satellite plate complete with two satellite socket thingies and also two rather wonderful satellite cables and also some brick buster plates for the outside of the wall to keep the whole thing neat and tidy.The decorator fitted the plate in no time. I tidied the wires up outside and fitted the brick buster plate and when the decorator had finished I moved the telly back and connected everything back together. You will see that the plate is a teeny bit small when put next to the aerial and power sockets and okay it’s still a bit chaotic back there but it looks so much better than it did before and we have everything that we need connected up including our wonderful Freesat and of course our Amazon Fire box. The new cables look fabulous, too. We’d also upgraded the telly and this too needs a network connection courtesy of a TP link power network also courtesy of Amazon. All in all this is a modern, neat and shiny solution to having wires tacked on your skirting board – accept no substitute!

This cable is a bit better than the average cable one can get but not much better. It does the job intended but for me it has the added bonus of having the traditional male / female plugs rather than the digital cables for SKY / Virgin Media boxes. I can't give it a 5* although I would like to, simply because it is a coaxial cable and the average cable would be an average 3* but this one does have the added bonus of having moulded plugs so there is no messing about with wire cutters etc. I would recommend this product for it's value for money but wouldn't highly recommend it because there are identical products available, from the very same manufacturer but at a slightly higher price.

I purchased this for a TV in my campervan. In a few specific places I park some channels were becoming scrambled. Picture quality was poor and all using the original Avtex cable that came with the TV. So decided to purchase this and if there was any difference, if any, using a different cable. Well, difference is amazing. No more scrambled channels and picture quality near enough 100%. TV also tunes in double the amount of channels it use to before in the Same places I park. Even HD channels.Well woth the few pounds it cost. Fully recommend.
