I've used it in the past to help prevent illness, rather than to treat it. For treating intermittent raspy voice, try gentle steam inhalation (but be careful, because steam can burn if you're too close...) I use a humidifier for that. Voice professional moment: if you're experiencing a change in voice that lasts longer than a couple weeks, and/or isn't directly due to illness, you should try to make an appointment with an ENT/laryngologist. Raspy voice can indicate some significant health issues that won't resolve on their own (reflux, cancer, other throat-related illness). Love the travel size because it's perfect to take on the go, as I prefer taking this syrup over regular cough drops, even Ricola!
