You may not think you need this, but once you own one, you will feel differently. No matter what sort of charging system/station you have going, there is always a new device (or someone else's). Instead of charging 1-2 devices in an outlet, you can now charge 4-5 (and store at least two non-tablets). It looks so much cleaner than any other sort of apparatus to maximize/expand your outlet. I like directing my friends to the charging station and I like having a dedicated spot to charge all my peripherals overnight.The two clear stands that hold a phone (or other phone sized item) on either side easily snap into the system if you do not need them or if you want to take this with you...and IF YOU GO ON VACATION, TAKE THIS WITH YOU!!!! Instead of the bedside outlet already being half occupied by the lamp, you can plug this in, plug the lamp back in, plug in your laptop, plug in your phone, plug in your tablet and still have an extra outlet! This is a must for every trip. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome! - but BEWARE if your OUTLETS are installed commercially (up-side down). *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2015* This thing is awesome, but because our house was built by a safety geek, he had all of the outlets/plugs flipped so the grounding peg (the 3rd prong on many plugs) is at the TOP (up-side down). Double check your outlets before you buy it. I still use it and have ZERO regrets - but the 2 negative things I'd draw to your attention to are: 1. upside down outlet thing - it means that if you plan to use the neat little drawers to hold your phones then don't buy this. 2. the neat little drawers will hold older, smaller droid phones and iphones, but not any of the 6 models, Notes, or new model phones which are larger. The little drawers are small and have edges that go up the side for support (so you can slide your phone right in). This means you can't really use that feature with the larger model phones unless you cut the sides off, which causes other problems (you can't snap them back shut, etc.).I have large phones (bad eyesight! haha). I still LOVE this product. - The plugs are really tight, so there's no danger of things dropping or falling out of the sockets. - The USBs are excellent and the power it puts out is charging my phones and tablets really quickly - and I'm using CHEAP tethers! - it comes with a screw to keep it in place or to direct mount in place of your outlet cover. - excellent quality product. - nice looking (not an eye-sore!) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not gaining any outlets. *by L***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2017* You can only use electric cords that are small. Otherwise only two will fit. You don't gain any outlets because this device covers the two in a duplex receptacle. It doesn't just plug into the receptacle. You have to remove the receptacle plate and this comes with a longer 6/32 screw to replace what exists, so this stays plugged in permanently.I also couldn't hide it behind a small table because this item sticks out a bit and my table was just the exact height where the top hit the device and I couldn't slide my table against the wall. I had to change locations TWICE.
