Fun math practice
I got these cards for my 8 year old. I’m hoping it brings some “fun” to practicing math problems. The cards are bigger than I expected, not the size of a normal deck. I don’t see that as an issue since they aren’t intended to be fanned out in the hand, but they are a bit big for small hands.

Parent please play these game- you won't regret it!
After teaching a couple of my third graders to play the multiplication version (they had never played war), everyone was begging daily to play! A couple of my babies continued to struggle with addition/ subtraction, but after playing this game, they began to pick them up quicker- or find strategies to help them. Those that knew there facts were given multiplication and division to play, which made them more confident with. I now own several sets of math war (multiplication, division, and addition/ subtraction)! Parents: PLEASE buy these for you kids, you will not regret it. They figure out that math can be fun and master facts a lot quicker! Addition/ Subtraction would be great for first grade up. Very easy, fun, and non-intimidating way to learn facts (even if they need a number line/ chart at first). Also a great summer activity and travel game!

Fun math fact practice
Fun way to practice math facts. One star off because game does not involve regrouping facts (i.e. +8 or +9 facts where the answer goes above 10).

Fun while learning 💯
Math is not my granddaughter’s favorite subject. I have tried several ways to keep learning fun. I was surprised that she likes this interactive card game and when she asks if I’ll play a game with her, I say “ Sure, what do you want to play?” and often she will chose Math War on her own. We skip the part if you say the answer wrong. We all have fun and she gets better and quicker. I am very pleased that we bought this card game.

my 6 year old LOVES playing this with me, helping with signs
My 6 year old is very advanced in math, like doing end-of-year second-grade math. One of the only simple problems I see she has that she really needs to improve is switching between addition and subtraction problems. She can do a whole sheet of addition with carrying 4 numbers long or a whole sheet of subtraction with borrowing, no problem. Give her a sheet with mixed addition and subtraction and she starts to subtract the addition problems and visa versa. This is helping A LOT with recognizing addition and subtraction. They are so simple, nothing totalling more than 10 (so that helps with basic math skills so she can do her problems quicker) so she doesn't have to struggle to figure out the answer, but she does have to pay attention or she gets it wrong. I like the rule that even if the person has the higher number if the person says their answer wrong you get the card. I also added a rule that if you had the lower number (to where you would have lost your card anyway) and still get your answer wrong, you have to give the other player an additional card (to encourage answering every problem correctly even if you can tell right away it will be lower and a losing hand). My daughter is asking to play it all the time now. Really a great game to help younger kids with basic math. As soon as I start to teach her multiplication and division, we are buying that war set too! I'm going to be looking for more educational games like this!

Trick them into doing Math
These Math War game cards are a lifesaver for kids who don't enjoy traditional math practice! My child loves the competitive, fast-paced format, and it's a fun way to reinforce addition and subtraction skills without feeling like "work." Perfect for keeping math practice engaging and exciting! Highly recommend for parents looking to sneak in learning during playtime. It was a perfect stocking stuffer at our house.
