Argentinian filmmaker Nicolas Entel does something very different in looking at the legend that is Pablo Escobar. Entel focuses on the life of his son, Sebastian Marroquin, and his attempts to come to grips with all the hideous karmic wreckage inflicted by his malevolent father. It is the story of difficult reconciliation where the desire for revenge in countries racked by by ethnic and religious strife is almost an everyday occurance. Riveting!! This is a HBO premiere Dcoummentary. The film was released internationally in 2009 and also to Sundance Film Fest 2010 where it was nominated for Grand Jury Prize ( World Cinema) and the Miami Film Festival 2010 where it won Audience Award and Grand Jury Prize. Well made documentary on a unique aspect of Escobar's life.

great documentary love it
very good documentary shows clips and speeches of his time as well as the points from his son and wife. The only thing is its not in english its in spanish the whole documentary but there are english subtitles through it all.

Gave a lot more insight to the family
We had just watched Narcos and thought we find out some more in Pablo. This was very informative. Had great insight. If you want to know more about Pablo, this documentary is good.

One of the greatest documentaries I ever watched.
I cannot emphasize enough how great this documentary is. It makes you think a lot about what justice and forgiveness means, and simply how much damage drugs and organized crimes can do to a society. It is such a pity that I found it only now - I must have watched it much earlier.

I loved it
I also just read the book written by Pablo Escobar’s son. It really is heartbreaking that this poor man truly had his life torn to shambles from no actions of his own. I hope his future continues to be a healing and positive experience. I also hope he receives many blessings for all of the pain he has suffered.

I just finished watching the sitcom "Pablo Escobar" El Patron del Mal. I wanted to know what happened with his family after his death. Good film.

Not in English - No English sub-titles - Amazon won't refund
It said; "English Subtitles" in the movie title. If you scroll down to "More Details" and look at "Subtitles" it says; English (CC) and below that it says; English. While I can manage to struggle through it I prefer English. Unfortunately once you purchase the movie, or any digital order, it is not refundable and you have no recourse. I just burned $7.00 because of Amazon's mistake. Apparently they don't read these reviews because half of the reviewers have the same issue.
