It can be crunchy where applied at first but I just run my boar's head brush through it and it remains very full. It also works as a styling aid VERY well. Goes on slightly damp but dries quickly. I love love love the smell. It reminds me of something from childhood that I can't pinpoint. Light and fresh. But it remains (not strong) so if you don't like the smell it will be there anyway. HIGHLY recommend. I was feeling old and like my super thick hair was gone (I think it may have thinned from stress) but with this and the shampoo/conditioner set I bought, I am golden for now.
