Easy to install and HomeKit integration
Easy to install and works great with HomeKit

Great HomeKit switch
Installation was straitforward, not terribly difficult. Would be much easier if the switch wasn’t so big on the depth, as even a standard switch installation requires brute forcing the switch into the electrical box since any standard 16 gauge copper wire is quite rough and rigid, but the wiring is straightforward. As such, installing a switch plate cover will bend if there are more than 1 switch per electrical box, and looks terrible from a visual standpoint. Functionally, the switches are great. I’m rocking an Apple AirPort Extreme I bought in late 2014, and HomeKit gives me consistent but minimal issues with switches showing as “not responding.” I plan to upgrade my wife setup as what I have read on other forums indicates this will solve most of these issues. Common question: “will these fit a standard decorative switch wall plate?” Definitively: yes. I have had no issues getting these to fit standard decorative switch plate covers (rectangle opening) from Lowe’s or HD, or even Amazon. Overall, great item. Firmware updates are simple. Love the fact that these still function fully even without network connectivity, and the LED indicator light is customizable within the Meross app. Great buy if you are looking to get into the home automation scene without dealing with individual bulbs. Bonus: HomeKit integration is simple if you have a 2.4gHz WiFi network available separate from your main network, as they won’t eat up your bandwidth, AND if you have Google home smart devices in you house like I do (Google Nest minis in nearly every room), you don’t have to fork over another $100+ to have the ability to control lights with your voice as Google natively supports integration with Meross devices.

Big fan of Meross products
I’ve become a big fan of Meross products, having purchased 3 garage door opener switches, 4 wall switches, and 8 outlet plugs for myself and other family members. I had been using Wemo switches, but have been increasingly frustrated with their app and devices not working as expected. The Wemo app is especially buggy and constantly requires me to log in to use. When I was offered these switches by Meross to test, I jumped at the opportunity based on my prior experience with their products. Since Apple Homekit support is the new feature added with this new version of the Meross switch, I will concentrate on that aspect. The instructions say to add to Apple Homekit before adding to the Meross app. I made the mistake of putting the switch plate on before installation, but you need the 8 digit code inside to add to Homekit, and the cover is a bit hard to pry off once in place, so add to Homekit before snapping the cover in place. After adding to Homekit, I opened the Meross app, and my new switch showed up to add to the Meross app, which I did. It didn’t show up immediately, but I closed out the app and reopened, and it was there. I installed this switch to control my driveway spot lights. I tested Siri support, “Siri, turn on the spots”, and it worked instantly. I also added an automation to turn on the spots when I arrive home at night. In addition to Siri, Alexa is also supported. This switch replaced a Belkin Wemo switch. Both work similarily, but the biggest difference is the apps. My favorite feature of the Meross products is the app. It has an iPhone widget, which allow for quick access to all my Meross devices from my iPhone home screen with a quick swipe from the left side of the screen. The Wemo app does not have a widget. Another plus for the Meross app is that it works on your home network even if your internet service is down. We had an extended internet outage the other day, and since the Wemo app requires a sign in, I couldn’t control my lights from the app. The Meross app still worked while I was home.

Great switch but hard to setup HomeKit.
This is my 4th purchase. The button press and feel are top notch. I’ve tried the other smart switches and they don’t feel as nice as this one does when you press down on it. The only reason I’m knocking this down a star is because it takes a while for it to get setup with Apple Home kit. Sometimes the device does not register or recognize when I enter in the HomeKit code. I love how there is a green light to let you know that the power is on. It’s very helpful when you have multiple lights on in the kitchen and aren’t sure which switch is connected to what light. I replaced my old light switch with this one.

Fearless Firmware Updates
I have 27 Meross devices (mostly switches) installed for almost 2 years. The initial installation was clunky due to my own inexperience, but once I realized that I could add them to Apple HomeKit without first adding them to the Meross app, the process was much simpler (you can add them/name them in the Meross app after adding them to Homekit if you like.) Firmware updates have been great, but a few days ago 4 devices were reporting "unreachable" and could not complete the update. One email to Meross support and Lydia sent me instructions and a binary file to perform a manual update. The instructions were easy to follow and the updates were successful on the first go. I feared it would be some technical rabbit hole requiring hours of confusing machinations, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Good company, great support, stable products and best brand & value for Apple Homekit integration that I have found.

Easy conversion to Siri
Switching house over from Andriod to Apple. It’s great to just say, “turn on kitchen lights.”

BEWARE - only works for 3-4 weeks then FAILS!
HOLD ON TO YOUR OLD SWITCHES! We replaced about 2 dozen switches in our house - making ours a truly smart home! Install was relatively simple, connected to HomeKit easily and things worked well for a 2-3 of weeks. They were very responsive to HomeKit and turned on/off quickly with our voice or the HomeKit app. We were SUPER HAPPY!!! Then EVERYTHING stopped working with HomeKit and a couple hours later they came back online. This has happened several times since then - just really WIERD OUTAGES THAT EFFECT ALL LIGHTS AT THE SAME TIME. Our internet is solid/didn’t stop working (Google Fiber) so our best guess is the “backend Meross network” that the switches require to operate goes offline periodically. It was mostly annoying to not have them respond on HomeKit — but they still worked as light switches and was workable. Then about 3 weeks later THE FIRST SWITCH FAILED — but one out of 22…no big deal right? A couple of weeks later ANOTHER SWITCH FAILED…then a week later ANOTHER FAILED…and less than 12 hours later YET ANOTHER FAILED! At this rate I’m not sure how many will be working in another month. It is interesting that they are starting to fail AFTER the Amazon return period. The biggest problem is when they fail, there isn’t a way to use the lights anymore. Meross tech support takes about 2-3 days to respond and has not been particularly helpful. Meantime we have ordered regular flip switches as because waiting almost a week for replacements is just not working for us — after all we still need to be able to use the lights in our house! While we have several replacements coming and our fingers are crossed maybe we had a rash of bad ones and the others will be fine. I will update

Great Homekit switch
I am very happy with this switch. I have several other name brand HomeKit switches and this one arguably connects to the network better. Installation was really easy, especially with wires coming out of the unit rather than screw terminals. I had no issue fitting the switch into the wall box although the larger gang boxes can sometimes get tricky with all of the wires running along the back. The cost of these switches is very attractive, right around half of what the other brands charge. Connecting to the HomeKit network is also a breeze, and I've never had an issue connecting on the first try. My only negative is in the design of the switch itself, which is really more of an operational preference than its function. To operate the switch on or off, you tap the bottom of the paddle. The top is fixed and there's a toggle under the bottom of the paddle. For an unknowing house guest they might hammer away at the top of the paddle for a while before discovering that what they thought was the "off" button made the light go on. For me, this wasn't an issue as I put the switches in lights that I want to automate and so I will hardly ever manually operate the switch.

Works great!
I have just installed 1 single poll. I have multiple smart home things ranging from cameras, locks, baby cams, all from expensive known brands and this is the only one that actually works with HomeKit! A Proper smart switch that is compatible with all the devices. MUCH better than most well known brands that claim to work with apple but do not support homekit! and have to use individual app for each device The instructions are good except there was no mention of what to do with ground wire (of course attach it to the metal box). It came with everything to install properly even the little cap to twist wires into. (you put the two wires you want to attach together and put in the little cap and twist it). Had a little trouble linking meross app because I have remote garage control that works with ehome life i think Alexa has them mixed (they are the same/does not matter which app you use).

Works great with Apple Homekit
There aren't a lot of Homekit options out there, but these fit the bill. I have a few Meross products now and they all work well, and stay connected to the network consistently. Our homepod never has any issues finding them. Meross would like you to install their app, but with Homepod, it's not needed. There might be more features in their proprietary app, but the products work right out of the box with Apple. Customer service is also great - I had received a switch that had previously been returned to amazon, and that amazon had sent to me as new. Meross was responsive, fast and polite, and sent me a replacement item right away, then checked to make sure I was happy with the purchase. They stood behind the product and made it right. Installation can be a bit tricky to figure out all the wires and loop in the white 'neutral' wire. But not too difficult for a handy homeowner. Lots of videos on youtube will show you what the neutral, line, and load wires are, and how to identify them. Overall, I'm happy with these switches, and want to get more!
