Ive been through the manual dozens of times.. Tried every combination of dialing.. Tried renaming the ext. no's etc.. I know the PBX will ring the phones im using, im able to call the operator unit and also mass call all extensions from any ext, yet i cannot make an ext to ext call no matter what. Yes they are obtuse but for what I wanted it for, just a private exchange for a model railroad, it worked fine and was up and running in less than 20 min with 7 trimline phones. I did not use all the call waiting etc features. **Q: Will this system work as an auto attendant to tell a caller to press 1 to speak to a sales associate? I want to block auto nuisance calls.** A: Yes it will, you can tell it to press 1 for the first extension and so on for all of the extensions. However it only allow one step and 20 seconds of recording time for the auto attendant message. We use it to automatically disconnect anyone who doesn't dial an extension within 10 seconds. It is to use on a boat as an intercom and to call, and the extensions work well and work right out of the box. The only issue I did run into is that it can barely drive a bell ringing phone, so I will have to work on that, but I only have one of those, the rest have tones and work well and loud. The manual is ok, if you have some knowledge of the kinds of functions a PBX performs. I could understand if you didn't then the manual isn't going to teach you about PBXs, but so wouldn't any other PBX manual. Very happy with the purchase, and of course the price.
