Sculpey Premo 1 lb White Polymer Oven Bake Clay for Sculpting & Jewelry

I have been experimenting with different types of sculpey and of course I started with Original Sculpey- This I found was too soft & picked up a ton of finger prints and is somewhat fragile after baking. I have also tried Super Sculpey- which leaves hardly any finger prints but is Very hard and takes a long time to condition. With that being said, I tried Premo. This is the perfect ‘in-between’ regular Sculpey and Super Sculpey. It’s not too soft but not too hard either and after all my experimenting, I would suggest going with this type! Especially if you’re making charms and little figurines that need to last and stay strong. For bigger projects I would suggest investing in Super Sculpey. But- Premo is perfect! It’s not too soft and crumbly like regular Sculpey and is not as hard as Super Sculpey. It also doesn’t hold fingerprints as bad as regular sculpey. This is more of a personal preference though! I have issues with my hands and this isn’t the softest clay to use but I like it’s strength and how it holds details. So, be patient and maybe invest in a conditioning machine or a Never Knead if you have issues with your hands like I do! Have fun!

This is my first time working with polymer clay. I've used air-dry in the past, which is kind of messy and difficult to get small details with. This clay is so much fun and easy to work with! I bought an oven thermometer to be safe. It seems more durable as well because it's kind of flexible after curing. I've been just using white and painting it a day later after it cools off, but I have made so many cute little magnets and pieces for a tic-tac-toe (the waffle is air-dry clay). Don't show my cousins because these are Christmas gifts.

This color in person is just as it appears on my screen. It's great to work with too. I've used many of the Premo colors and I've never been disappointed in the quality or results. If you're new to polymer clay this next bit may help, if you're a veteran you already know this. If you need a lighter shade of red (or want to make a custom pink), it's usually more economical to buy the large 8oz. or 16oz. blocks of the color and the 8oz. or 16oz. blocks of white and blend to achieve the shade you desire rather than buy all those 2oz. "Accent" bars. Particularly if you're doing a larger project. Do you want a Light Pearl Pink? Use the Cadmium Red and mix it with the Sculpey White Pearl Sculpey Premo Art Clay Accents, Pearl . Good value, easy to use

I like this type of polymer clay, but the one I received was about three years old. It was pretty difficult to work with, and I had a very hard time softening it. I actually never really got it into a 100% workable state. I'd never used Sculpey Premo before, so I bought some directly from Sculpey to see if it's always that way, and while it also started out being more difficult to work with, it got easier much faster. I think the issue is that they just sold me old stock. At least it wasn't crumbling, but it being that old did make it much harder to work with. I heard that rubbing alcohol makes it easier to use, but I couldn't use that for my project.

If I could I would give 0 stars! Hard as a rock! I’ve used old polymer clay before and once you add some liquid polymer clay, it’s workable. This behaved as if it had been left in the sun to BAKE! It was obvious when I first got it that it wasn’t going to be pliable. The seller should not have sold this! Extremely disappointed!

Good size, quality product, easy to use. I keep my open clay in a baggie or plastic box

Não achei que parece tanto metal assim, parece mais um cinza com glitter. Talvez em algumas situações específicas possa se assemelhar mais, mas em geral, não muito. Fora isso achei o cheiro dessa meio ruim, comparando com outras marcas que já usei, mas nada que seja insuportável.
