Only very minor downside for me would have been their explanation at the beginning of the book about how to phonetically say Russian sounds. They write 'ja' for yah sound & 'je' for yeh sound. It's probably they correct way to do it phonetically but as its a book seemingly for English speakers I don't think it's the easiest way to explain it. Still like the book very much.
