I got this puzzle for my 2 and a half year old granddaughter who is smart at puzzles. This one held her interest for over a hour each time she picks it up for the challenge but I hadn't had a reason to go beyond what is already provided in the package. Is it something dad can start on his own or must someone initiate the puzzle for him using the guide?

This is for whole family. Why not dad can start. It is fun and challenge for whole family. I bought it for my 5 years old granddaughter. She enjoys it.
