High School DxD, Vol. 2 (light novel): The Phoenix of the School Battle (HIGH SCHOOL DXD LIGHT NOVEL SC)

Now I bought this after watching the anime you would normally do it the other way around. As the front cover says parental advisory warning explicit content is for a good reason. It is a light novel so there are texts but there's also manga and it's quite explicit no vaginal images mostly boobs but if you was thinking of get this for your 13 year old nephew or son I'd highly suggest you don't. The anime itself has a rating of 15 so the book is just as graphic. It's a MUST for any High School DXD fan or anime/manga fan in general.

I have been waiting since i was 14 for an official novel release of this series, I'm 17 now and the series is still as funny as ever too bad at the rate the novels release it will be ages before they are all released but either way I'm just happy they're getting released, if you've seen the anime this volume is about the whole issue with riser and the rating game etc.

Great love the story hopefully season 5 comes out bc I had to get the LN to cope and it hasn’t let me down

Four pages in and it already lifted my mood. Perfect for gray and rainy days or if the lockdown blues kicks in. Here the volume put strong focus on Rias Characterization and her obligations as well as giving some pointers on how the "current" Demon society works. It also lays the groundwork for the main relationship between Rias and Issei. Other than that, it introduce the basics of how the Battles work in this world. That said, while I will keep on buying future volumes, I won't be buying then on Amazon but another shop that actually give me results for the "Novels" I searched, when I searched for "Novels and not all kinds of other, related and unrelated stuff like Amazon does so I don't think I can do any more reviews here. But still, keep on buying the Novels even though it will be like 7-10 years (based on the average release of 3 volumes per year and 25 Novels to translate total) before the translations catches up to where Japan currently is (not counting the 5 volumes for the sequel series already published).
