Shappy Elastic for Sewing Knit Elastic Band(1/2 Inch X 11 Yards,White)

I’ve been using the Shappy Elastic Band for a few sewing projects and I’m very happy with it. The elastic has a good amount of stretch while still returning to its original shape. It’s easy to cut, sew, and work with, and it doesn’t feel overly stiff or bulky. I especially like that it works well for different types of projects, including waistbands and clothing alterations. It feeds through the fabric easily and stays in place once sewn. The amount included is also convenient if you sew regularly. Overall, this is a practical elastic to keep with your sewing supplies, and I would purchase it again.

Worked great! I used it for making different size bowl covers. Good quality for the price and worked well. Really stretchy so I ended up not needing as much per project.

I used this for my daughter’s tap shoes, and it worked perfectly! Good quality, and didn’t fray.

Looks like it's been a bit pre-stretched, like if it were old. Not bad, and definitely still has tons of stretch left in it.

Five of my pairs of exercise pants in different colors look dressy enough for office wear and I just rotate through them. Some are more than two years old and the elastic at the waist is dead. I learned a trick to make a little cut inside the waist and insert this white sewing elastic to run in the groove with the original. Problem solved! The elastic seems to keep its stretch quite well. A couple of these pairs of pants have had their new elastic for a few months. In fact I bought this elastic a second time to rescue and repair more pants in the same way. Life is good when a simple thing is reasonable priced and fulfills its purpose. Thank you Amazon!

Previously ordered 1 inch width, realised it was too thick so cut it in half width wise. Next time ordered 1/2 inch thick. Was ridiculously weak, should've stayed with my previous instinct.
