Perfect tool for my tree trimming. The extended saw feels secure when sawing the branched over my head. The pole saw is sharp and cuts through 2-4 inch tree limbs like butter (although it does require a bit of elbow grease). The saw's curved design works very well and the blades are super sharp. The saw is very portable since I can detach the saw from pole when the extension pole is not needed. The pole is made from metal alloy and provides stable cutting when the saw is used extended. Overall a great value tool that really works.

I have been staring at dead branches up in my cottonwood trees for years and finally decided to do something about it. Every year I have removed as many dead branches as I could reach using my 6-foot step ladder and a hand saw, but I have not been able to reach anything above 10 or 11 feet. This saw has solved that problem. Rather than spend a hundred dollars (or much more) on a gas or electric chain saw attached to a long pole that I would use infrequently, I found this saw on Amazon for about thirty bucks. It's not mechanized so it does require some effort on the part of the user, but not too much effort. For example, I used it for close to an hour and didn't even break a sweat. It saws easily and makes a nice clean cut. I cut dozens of branches and small limbs up to 6" in diameter that were between 10 and 21 feet above ground - the highest ones requiring the use of my step ladder. The hook at the end of the saw is extremely useful for breaking off brittle branches (no sawing required) and for dislodging cut branches that get hung up in the tree. The saw and its 10-foot pole is very lightweight and quite maneuverable -- I had no absolutely no trouble controlling it, even while standing on the 5th rung of my 6-foot step ladder. Assembly was simple. I had it all together is less than 5 minutes and the blade is not wobbly at all, despite what some reviewers reported. I have to believe that the reviewers who complained about a wobbly blade or the pole coming apart during use didn't put it together correctly. This is the first pole saw I have owned, and I must say that I am very impressed with this one. I cut enough dead wood out of my cottonwood trees in less than an hour to completely fill my full-size pickup truck, and then some. Had I hired a professional tree trimmer, I'm sure I would have been presented with a bill for several hundred dollars. For $30 and an hour of my time, I did the job instead. I think this is good pole saw for the average homeowner, especially considering its low cost compared to other pole saws.

I purchased this to trim a tree on the other side of our backyard wall that our community has never trimmed. Ive kept the lower part on my side well trimmed but the top if tree was too high to reach even standing on a ladder. The top of the tree was starting to hit our house when windy (all the time in alas Vegas), so I was trying to find something to use so that I could take care of it myself. This was by far the least expensive option that I could find for an extendable pole saw and since I dont currently need it for anything else, I didn't want to spend a lot. It arrived quickly in a small box and is very easy to assemble. With all of the poles attached it measures 13ft, rather than 14ft as described. I still used a ladder and thankfully I didn't even need all of the attachments to reach where I wanted to cut and this worked so quickly and easily! I like having the multiple pieces to chose your desired length. The flimsier branches were harder as they move around when trying to get the cut started but was still able to get them cut. It works extremely well on thick sturdy branch that don't move so much when cutting. It took me less than 5 minutes to cut the top and some of the side off the tree and away from the house. My only complaint is that the soft grip handle is attached to where the blade attaches so unless you're not using any extension poles, the handle is worthless as its on the end. Otherwise I have no complaints and am very satisfied with the product. It easily breaks back down and fits back into the box for storage until needed.

I live in florida and have palm trees in my front yard and its always been a pain cutting the limbs off. You either had to pay someone to do it or spend half the day usually on a ladder cutting the dead and discolored palms down. Part of the problem also was some of the ones that need cutting are not always the bottom ones, and when you cut the ones higher up on the tree alot of the time they dont fall and get stuck or tangled with other palms after they are cut which is a real pain. Well this thing is not only super sharp the end is a bladed hook so you can literally pull cit limbs that may be stuck straight out. Sometimes there are palms that are broken from the wind stuck in the tree and all you need is the hook end to pull them down its awesome most cutters don't have that hook and you don't realize how useful it is until you have it. This thing is also super light and unscrews in sections to make it smaller or longer which i like better that the telescopic versions as those tend to have weak locks and the pole usual extends even when in the locked position, but not with this cutter. Its my go to cutter for palm limbs now i can cut them clean and super fast i have a dewalt polesaw and i use this over that now that says a-lot. The price is right and its simply works better than anything else get one you wont regret it.

I have a lot of random branches I wanted to cut without having to do some kind of expensive tree trimming. I thought I'd give this a try and I'm basically obsessed with it! I keep finding more branches to trim and it is very satisfying to saw them down. The saw is efficient and cuts through 2 inch thick branches within seconds. I probably have cut up to 4 inch sections, its just takes slightly longer. I'd recommend this mostly for branches about as thick as your wrist. The saw also had a big of a hook at the end which is great for pulling down any trimmed branches that get stuck. Since each section twists on to the pole, you can adjust the length if you want, which I found especially useful when storing it in the garage.

Absolutely excellent. Used this to prune queen palm branches that were house roof height in my yard. Worked very well, and the hook helped me pull them down. Only took a few back and forth movements to cut - the blades were sharp! And the pole stays firm even when fully extended.

Five stars for the pole, which is remarkably sturdy. One star for the saw blade, which is not very sharp. Not like the blades from Germany, Scandinavia and Israel. Good for softwood, like pine, up to two inches. Worthless for hardwood, like oak, unless under an inch. I wanted to like this nifty little gadget; however, it could not do the job. Nice that they included extra screws and nuts, although it made me wonder whether I omitted a step, as extra parts will do. The saw with handle is not easily removable from the pole--you must remove two screws and nuts. I would have given it five stars if the blade were sharp, durable, and replacements were available.

This was a great purchase. Just what I needed to cut limbs that were too large for my pole pruner. I like the fact that the head of this is just a lightweight saw as opposed to some that are a combination pruner and saw. I also like that it has a claw at the far end of the saw that assures as you are cutting you do not slide off the limb on the down stroke, but it has no claw at the base of the blade (which some competitive saws do have). The claw at the base of the blade would just get in the way when trying to position and saw. I was worried that on limbs that were not rigid enough I would be pulling them to and fro and potentially getting the blade caught in the wood, as I tried to saw. But with judicious use of the saw, I have not had problems. But yes, if depending on where the limb/branch is attached and how much motion it has when you pull the saw across it, it would be difficult to cut with this device. So are I have successfully cut limbs up to about 2-1/2" in diameter and suspect I could go larger. The handle is easy to assemble with as many sections as you would like and completely rigid as you use it. This tool was exactly what I needed except that I should have purchased the 14' unit instead of the 10' version. Since the pole is so lightweight I think I could have easily handled that longer unit. Unfortunately Hosko does not sell the extension pieces separately. Oh well. UPDATE (2 months later) - still very happy with this saw. Today I took off some small 1-1/2" limbs and then taking turns with a friend we worked on a locust tree. It had a big limb that split off in a storm and left a nasty foot long split oval stub about 4-6" in diameter, that was 15' off the ground. It took us about 10 minutes of sawing, but we got it. A couple of times the blade stuck but I was able to work it loose. I can't say enough good things about this saw. See photos showing the stub diameter with respect to the saw, and the locust limb cut up to size (using a different hand saw then the pole saw).

Great product, I have used it on big trees and Washingtonian Palm Trees. It did the job expected but make sure you know how to handle it at 10 ft long as it gets harder to handle specially with Washingtonians

Amazing value. I feel like I abused this saw trimming my apple tree. I was not gentle on this tool. I hacked away and yanked on it many times. I love the bill hook. It works so well for smaller branches and dead stuff. I'm impressed that a cheap tool is so sharp and holds up so well. My only complaint would be that the blade is a bit flimsy/wobbly but maybe this helps it cut through easier being thinner?? I would give this tool more than 5 stars if I could. Great value. It would have cost me hundreds of dollars to have an arborist trim my apple tree.

Excelente sierra para uso ocasional, pode de manera cómoda y limpia un árbol de limón de tamaño considerable. La sierra hasta ahora en perfecto estado, la capacidad de integrar o retirar secciones para ajustar el largo del brazo permite mucha flexibilidad, ya ajustadas las secciones son firmes, incluso para cargar secciones de follaje al momento de la poda.
