Works like a charm !
This is the real deal. I programmed it to feed the koi twice a day (6am/6pm) and it worked perfectly as I watched it from a ring camera. I bought a cheaper one before this and it was a piece of junk. Spend the money and you’ll be happy !!

Very well built! Almost Bear Proof.
A North Georgia black bear got to my feeder. It ripped the feeder off the 2x4 stand it was screwed into, tore the cables off, and smashed a hole in it to get to the feed. Despite all that, I was able to repair the wiring, and the feeder still works! The electrical components are well built, the motor still functions, and it even kept my saved feeding schedule. I just need to tape up the large hole in the reservoir, and it should be good to go. It has been working great for over a year now. I'm glad the bears liked the fish food more than the fish!

Go to the hardware store for anchor bolts
This product looks to be good quality and is well built. You need to really study the instructions to understand the programming. It helps to know that feeding time is on the hour on a 24 hour clock. Feeding time is broken up into 24 possible daily start times which are shown as numbers from 1-24. Be aware that it is an overhung load and if your pond deck is cement or rock, you will need a masonry bit and drill. The supplied base anchor screws are too short to work on anything in my opinion and I needed new ones to properly anchor the machine. The original anchors pulled right out of the rock and it fell in the water. Also do not buy if you feed flake food, it is really only designed to work well on pellets.

Works
Works dependably. Looks fine in our garden setting. February 25, 2025 I have seen a number of questions about this device from Amazon since our purchase. We purchased this in April 2021 to feed our koi fish while away from 7 days to 5 months at a time. We live in a semi rural area in the southwest U.S. The feeder is located in the back yard next to our pond and has remained in place outdoors since April 2021. When not in use it is unplugged. The power cord and control box can be easily removed from the device and stored. The settings and time are stored in the brain in control box and accurately come back on as soon as the control box is plugged in, even after several months, The device is made of heavy plastic and aluminum tubing. Our feeder has been exposed outdoors to115 F and cold to 25 F, snow, ice, high winds, and violent rainstorms both while unplugged and on. It has proven to be completely waterproof. The plastic materials have not warped, become brittle or shown any cracks. The device has remained unscathed by attacks by birds, packrats and raccoons to open the food container. Packrats have chewed on the power cord several times superficially. These damage areas were wrapped with electrical tape. The food delivery volumes have remained constant. The food container volume is sufficient to feed our 20 mature koi for 1 week. The food volume delivered is determined by which of 2 screw drive tubes that come with the device you install in the device, the number of turns of the drive and the number of feedings per day. Programming the device is pretty easy. Time, feeding time, number of turns of the screw drive and number and times of feedings per day are easily set and remain in the memory when on or unplugged for months. The device can be set to deliver considerably more or less food per day than we programed. This device has proven to be better than we expected.

This feeder is terrible.
The controller is worthless. I bought this 2 years ago and it won't work properly. The controller keeps tripping off within a day or two. I shelfed it for a year and half, then tried to get it to work again but it still keeps tripping and power off by itself within a day. I finally trashed it. Don't buy this. I bought a Pond Guy KoiGrower this year. It is still working great after 2 months.

Works great and retains programming
I wanted something that would feed my fish while I was gone on vacation and would retain its programming so I didn't have to start from scratch every time I needed to use it. Otherwise, I will keep feeding them myself. Since I needed a temporary mount, I screwed it onto the end of a piece of fence board and when I put it next to the pond, I put a couple of Adirondack chairs on the end of the board and it's very stable. Programming is easy there's a good YouTube video on how to do it. I don't know how, and for how long, but it actually retained the time of day when I unplugged it and then plugged it in again. My only complaint was that while I was gone, it rained very hard, the end of the spout got wet and the food got caught in a little dam at the end of the spout. So, I think I'm going to cut the end of the spout at a 45° angle so it's harder for rain to get in. I put a big screw high up in the wall in my garage and drilled a hole in the end of the board and I hang the feeder in the garage when not in use. I highly recommend this feeder.

Racoon proof, customer service and well-made.
I have been keeping Koi for 25 years and in fact, several of my fish are 25 years old or older. I have used multiple auto feeders over the years, some better than others. This year I found myself in mortal combat with a very clever Racoon, who was able to easily overcome any of the obstacles placed in his (her) way by each of the new feeders that were touted as "Animal Proof". In desperation and as a last resort I purchased the Hygger. It was an immediate success!! The Racoon was unable to reach the food and is no longer a factor in my life. This alone would have warranted a 5-star review. However, due to my own clumsiness, in an attempt to make an adjustment, I dropped the food feeding tube into the pond and was unable to retrieve it. I contacted the seller-distributor to determine if I could buy a replacement tube. I was told that although they do not normally provide replacement parts for this item, they would check inventory to see if an extra piece had been manufactured. Long story-short, Luna their superb customer service representative reported back that they not only had an extra piece on hand, but that because my product was still under warranty, they would provide it to me free of charge! WOW! What a combination! An excellent product that actually does what it's purported to do, AND the best customer service I have ever encountered. If available, Six Stars would have been appropriate.

Portions are good
Wow this was so much better than a cheaper feeder I had that ran on batteries. Menu and getting everything set up took a while. The feeding size worked great for my 6 Koi in a 1400 gallon pond. I saw some reviews that it was too much food. I use 1 serving twice a day for the koi and that is about a quarter cup. I haven't checked battery yet since I set up and put away. We use it when on vacation and the size should last 2-3 weeks easy.

Best I've bought
The 2 biggest points are the large storage bin and the fact it is connected to the mains, so no flat batteries to worry about. Worth every penny

Great value.
Although we have only had this product for less than a month, we are quite satisfied thus far. It is definitely designed for larger ponds with more than only a few fish. If you have a small pond with only a few fish, you would need a smaller unit. The lowest setting for a single portion still provides quite a bit of food for a single feeding. Due to the size of this unit, you likely wouldn’t want it sitting beside a small pond anyways. We have 32 fish (a mix of Koi and goldfish) in our pond and this unit works perfect for us. This product would be capable of feeding a large pond with A LOT of fish (based on the available settings for portion size and frequency of feeding). As long as it lasts us a few years, there is great value here.
