We got our nephew this these along with a 3D pen for Christmas. He enjoyed it. These seemed good quality and not flimsy

Works well

A small silicone working mat with grooves on each side to make various shapes with any 3d pen. I actually like the clear plastic piece that others have liked the least. I can lay a paper stencil under it to trace the pattern with my 3d pen & the project is complete the finished piece is removed without it sticking to the paper. Ive seen several reviewers complaining about the clear mat melting from the heat of the 3d pen. I have not had that problem. If you're holding the 3d pen in the same place & it's melting the plastic enough to make it unusable then you're probably not using the 3d pen correctly. I haven't made a project yet where I had to hold the 3d pen in one place long enough to melt plastic to that extent. The only melted plastic I want to see is the plastic extruding from the 3d pen itself. If the 3d pen is constantly in motion (unless of course joining 2 or more pieces together) then it shouldn't have time to melt the plastic mat & if that is the case, maybe the temp is too high or you're pausing in one spot for too long . Keep it moving....

Item arrived quickly, as described without incident. Check measurements. It's smaller than it looks on the website. Useful addition for a 3D pen.

This is a nicely textured mat for using a 3-D Pen, but it is not very helpful for guiding lines and fillers. It seemed to complicate any attempts to follow stencils by interrupting the fluency of the lines. It caused us to go back over outlines multiple times, resulting in wasted material and somewhat choppy designs. We use it now only as a surface barrier.
