Delightful in my childhood; my grandson's favorite series
I loved the Madeline books as a child (the original series by Ludwig Bemelmans), so I got this volume for my 3-year-old grandson (for my daughter to read to him). It and the first book quickly became his most-requested books, so I've been periodically giving him each successive volume (he's got the first three, so three to go). The simple rhyming really captivates him, as does the character of Madeline and the easy-to-follow plot lines.

Wonderful story - compares to original
This is one of only three Madeline books that I really love. Great story, and it has many phrases from the original which my toddler loves. The story is fun and the art is beautiful. More detailed and colorful than the first.

Perfect
My granddaughter’s first and middle names are Madeline Genevieve. My daughter is fluent in French and is teaching her. So, this book is perfect. They have two dogs, so that link is a bonus.The book arrived in perfect condition. Great quality. The deliver was very fast. Perfect transaction.Highly recommended.

This book is one of the jewel's of my childhood, along with Madeline, and now I'm sharing it with my grandchildren after enjoying reading it with my daughters when they were little. It doesn't age.

Did you know she was famous in Brazil?
The character was very popular here in Brazil. with its animated series and its dvds that sold a lot in the early 2000s. the film with the actors was also shown on television. its popularity has dropped in the world. but it is still well watched in Portuguese on YouTube and other video platforms. but it is strange that there is not and does not seem to have been any version of the book in Portuguese. which is actually interesting because the books are old. I bought it exactly for the quality and impact it had on my childhood. And I say that I am very satisfied with the work.

Loved this story myself as a child and equally loved by my own daughters and now my grandchildren.How Genevieve the dog came into Madeline’s life and became one of the family with some extra editions towards the end of the story..
