Dell Wired Keyboard - Black KB216 (580-ADMT)

It's strange times when the best keyboards are $15 and the worst are over $80. This is a primitive keyboard, but if you want reliable, low-profile and quiet, this might be your board. Personally, I highly recommend it. And if it isn't your dream come true, it's an entirely worthy and practical backup. At this price, buy it.

Amazing keyboard! Very light touch typing and good tactile feedback. Makes typing pleasant and a breeze.

This is the same keyboard that came when I purchased the desktop computer. Over 3 years it got noisy, repeated letters, and was causing frustration. The new keyboard was a quick install. Much quieter and accurate. Especially when I'm doing work that requires precision in wording, this keyboard is highly responsive and accurate as I type. The price was excellent, and I didn't have to get used to a new keyboard layout. Thanks, Dell!

Haven't had it long enough to evaluate longevity so I can't assign five stars. The keys feel and work fine. This keyboard is very economical so one may get what they pay for in the long run. I wanted it to hook up to a laptop because the laptop's keys seem to go crazy.

Good keyboard---have several on CNC machine computers and they work well and robust----long lasting (except) when they are subject to a 5 pound holding clamp dropped on them----my bad!!!!

This keyboard is perfect for anyone with a desktop computer or while connecting multiple monitors using this keyboard all of college and the keyboard’s layout is well put together, it is compatible with any windows laptop you would have and is the perfect price for you. Layout - Overall, the keys are spaced out which makes it easy for you to type and with minimal typing errors. - The buttons aren’t in any confusing shapes that the normal computer user would not be used to. The letter, number, punctuation, and arrow keys are all perfect squares. The functions such as shift and enter are all rectangles. - The elevation of the keys causes a click noise when pressed which is satisfying for some but also too loud for others. It is just your preference. Compatibility - This keyboard can be plugged into any windows of your windows computers with a standard USB drive. - If you have used a dell computer this keyboard has the same exact layout you would find on a laptop except just a tad more spaced out. - The keyboard uses a wire to plug into the USB port which makes it just one piece and easy to keep track of. On the other hand, the wire can cause some clutter on your desk surface. Durable for its low price - There have been no problems with the keys getting stuck or seeing wear and tear after a couple of years of me using it. - The rubber bottoms that prevent the keyboard from sliding across the desk surface while you type and the bottoms have yet to fall off I have been using it. - The keyboard its self is highly affordable if you are just looking for something that is not flashy but still get the job done for you.

Exactly what I expected & needed

I've been through many keyboards in my illustrious 15 years of computing,yep folks,got my first computer in 2001 and it's 2016 now,so you can do the math. Yep,I know,I may be a little late but better late then never right and my first Computer was a Dell,or well made by Dell,same thing I guess. I have a Dell now but it's not the same computer that I started with 15 years ago,wow imagine having a Pentium III running at 866 mhz,that would be a bit slow to say the least compared to today's standards. Any way I say that to say since I have had mostly Dell computers,I try and buy dell peripherals/hardware as well. I think doing it like this makes hardware compatibility easier. I've had other Dell keyboards in the past but this one seems to be the best one I've had thus far,I have to admit,I was a bit skeptical at first,I saw the pic of it and I said to myself, well,I don't know if that's for me but I'm glad I went ahead and bought it despite my skepticism. The price was right as well,I got this for $6 bucks and the s and h was $6 as well so it was $12 altogether,bought right here on ........Amazon.com! (cheap pop? Any rasslin fans reading this??) There really isn't much to say about this keyboard but I wanted to come here and review it any way because so far I'm loving it. I don't think my typing speed has improved over night?,hmm but for some reason it feels like I can type faster with this keyboard. This keyboard is similar to the keyboard on a laptop,meaning that the buttons take very little pressure to press,if that makes any sense,it's a little hard to explain but when you get the keyboard you'll see what I mean,so maybe that's where the speed increase comes in,I'm not really sure. I'm typing on it right now and it just feels so smooth compared to my last keyboard which was decent enough but the buttons got stuck after a while,by the way,it was a Dell keyboard as well. Any way in conclusion if you're skeptical,I say give it a try any way because you just never know you may end up loving it as I currently do. Also for under $15 bucks you really don't have alot to lose so if you want to apply the whole risk vs reward principle,I think the "risk" is definitely worth the "reward". Necesitaba un teclado en ingles y buscando alguno de marca reconocida encontré este y hasta el momento ha funcionado como tal como esperaba, la calidad del material con el que esta hecho es bastante aceptable, me siento conforme con la compra. Solo cuenta con las teclas de funcionas mas básicas, es delgado, ligero y básico pero resulto ser una buena alternativa tratándose de teclados Dell alámbricos.
