Excellent and unbeatable price
As a professional event photographer I was searching for this type of splitter for a while. It works perfectly for my off camera flash setup. It allows me to have one flash that works right on the camera and a trigger on the other hot shoe to remotely control other off camera flashes. I can't believe that this is the only option out there, but I'm so glad it works.

This product seemed to be the perfect solution, beacuse i always use a flash unit ...
I wanted being able to control my speedlights power level from wherever in the room I am while shooting a wedding reception for instance. This product seemed to be the perfect solution, beacuse i always use a flash unit pointed to the seling to spread a nice light on my subjects. So it wasnt posible to have both options at the same time, until now. The problem is that 1) the ttl feature doesnt work at all and 2) only one of the hotshoes worked at the time, but never at the same time... So whats the point of having a dual hotshoe mount? I would give a zero stars rating if i could.

Solves my problem, with one limitation
I sometimes shoot in situations where I flip back and forth between stills and video. For stills, I might have a flash. For video, I have a shotgun microphone. It's a nuisance dismounting one and mounting the other since they each want the hotshoe on top of the camera. This product solves that problem. Since it's "hot", the flash still works as expected. The mic doesn't care about the hot contacts, but still mounts happily in the other shoe. Some reviews have talked about conflict between two flashes mounted simultaneously in the two shoes. I haven't used it that way, so I can't comment. One annoying thing that I can't blame the product for, but you might want to be aware of if you plan to use it as I've described: The mic is rather long, extending quite a bit further forward than the flash. So it casts a shadow sort of in the corner of the frame at wider focal lengths. Oops.

I'm not that impressed...
It's not that it isn't sturdy or that it doesn't work all the time, it's just that sometimes the flashes work and sometimes they don't, sometimes they are too early or late, leaving the subject unlit. I have had it for just about a week now and can't seem to figure out what the problem is.

Effective Hot Shoe Splitter, VERY tight fit.
As someone who switches quickly between stills and video, I was looking for a way to mount my speedlight and my Rode mic on my Nikon D4. This is perfect. It is a HOT SHOE on both ends. Many of the splitters you find online are actually cold shoes, and when they say "hot shoe splitter", they just mean that it mounts on your hot shoe, so beware. Unfortunately, this fits extremely tightly in my hotshoe, and is difficult to put on for the right connection, and very difficult to remove. It's actually stuck on my camera right now... I can't get it off. I actually worry I'm damaging my hot shoe. One time, I needed to use it quickly but couldn't get a connection. Ended up pulling it off and using my speedlight directly, sacrificing the mic.

Works perfect when needing 2 on top.
I shoot Real Estate photography and this works perfect with a stationery speed flash and wireless controller on top of my d810. Allows me to use a hand held speed flash for those dark areas and to pop areas for window pulls. while still behind the camera. I just ordered another one to keep in my traveling bag in case this one gets worn out. I would recommend ordering well in advance or 2 at the same time because the shipping is about 2 weeks +. NO PRIME with this purchase.

Don't Bother, Doesn't Work for Anything
I'm not sure what purpose this could possibly serve, since it will not work when two devices are attached at once. I bought this so I could use my wireless radio trigger in one shoe, while still using my TTL on-camera flash in the other. That does not work. If you have something in the other shoe, it causes your main flash to flake out and not fire/respond. It acts like there is nothing attached to your camera at all. If you push the flash exposure compensation button, it makes the popup flash come up, like the camera's shoe is empty. I also tried with just a pair of flashes, which is what it seems it is designed for, but same deal. If you have anything, even a second flash in Manual mode (not TTL) it still confuses your flash and won't work. It will only function with one device attached, which defeats the purpose. Tried 2 TTL flashes, 2 manual, 1 TTL and 1 Manual. No luck. FYI, using with Nikon SB-910, SB-700 and Yongnuo 560 v I, and tried both Yongnuo YN-603 and YN-622 TX triggers with no luck.
