She had an arterial or ischemic ulcer on her left heel measuring 2x4 inches earlier this year. For three months I tried other dressings with almost no improvement. After reviewing the medical literature, I decided to use the PolyMem dressing and this ulcer was healed in six weeks. I made dressing changes and used a wound cleanser at 2-3 day intervals.
