Q2:Am i able to cut the led strip if it is too long for my room? is there a section on the strip where i can cut it? and would it still work?

Can this be use for Christmas tree light?

I wouldn't use them on a tree, that's Not what they're meant for. They have adhesive on the back meant for decore around the home or place of business.

I need to cut it into 12 inch sections with 12 inch extensions, how can I do that ?

You can only cut where the lines are on the strip but once you cut you cannot reconnect. I started from a plug in the wall then worked my way along the wall up to the ceiling. With the other strip I started from the plug again and went up the opposite way up the wall and ceiling until the ends met...then I cut the excess
