A: Hi Diana Dixon, yes, in this way, you could use alexa to turn it on or off, but you could not change the colours/brightness/modes use alexa.

**Q: hi I brought this item at the end of May 2021 and the button is now not working I have replaced the battery but still nothing. Any ideas?**
A: mine only switches on an and of .cant change colours most buttons switch on and of, buy another or throw it
