100+ Miles of Adventure and Still Going
Do you want comfortable warm feet? If you said that’s why I’m looking, these are for you.I never tie them and there is no slipping, sliding or blisters with the cushion design around the foot and ankle. Instantly comfortable with zero break in period. The North Face made a shockingly good insert which keeps my arches supported and prevents foot fatigue.Barefoot, cotton, wool or any synthetic socks work well with these. Should you choose barefoot, the heel seam can rub just a touch, but that’s the price you pay when you’re too lazy and just slide your feet in to take puppy for a potty walk in the icy snow.Through sand, gravel, concrete, ice, rain, snow and general outdoorsy questionable muck, these have stayed dry, kept my piggies toasty and rinsed off nicely by walking in a puddle or wet grass. Excellent grip on all surfaces (except maybe black ice).I loved them so much, I bought a pair for my mom so she too could hike in comfort. If I had anything negative, it would be the material on the dark brown pair below the leather and above the rubber can collect snow hindering the warmth they generally provide. The pair on the left have waterproof leather down to the rubber foot which prevents this problem.Excellent for fall and winter hiking/walking in New England. Both the quality and price have me looking for summer/hiking options from The North Face. They run true to size and are comfortable on wider feet.

Comfortable, warm boot
I've only had these boots for a few weeks, but I love them. I was looking at several other brands of boots and settled on these. They were comfortable right out of the box! In fact, these are some of the more comfortable shoes I've owned. It has not been super cold here, yet, but they kept my feet quite warm. I've been on hour long walks in 30ish degree weather with a few inches of snow and they were awesome. I'm eager to try them in serious snow.I love that they use some recycled materials to make the boots. Honestly, this helped sway me in my purchase decision. I've not really owned much The North Face stuff, as it seemed too trendy and expensive. But, these boots are making me want to buy more of their products. I'm seriously making my next pair of sneakers The North face.I followed others' advice and ordered a half size up. I usually wear an 8 and purchased an 8.5.

Comfy, Warm, and Fly!
These boots are comfy, warm, and FLY! I bought a 7.5 which is my regular shoe size and these boots fit true to size. If you are wide width or plan on wearing super thick socks I'd go up at least a half size to give a little more space. But they're so warm I think thermal socks will roast your feet. They look just like the picture and come with grey and red laces. They are a little heavy but bend well at the ankle and are very cushy with each step. The tread is super gripy which I hope will help on icy days. With these boots I plan to trudge stylishly, gracefully, and warmly into this Chicago winter and sightseeing in Iceland!

Cute but gives good cankle
In a running shoe or dress shoe / boot, I’m a 9.5. In these I wore a 10.5 to fit my foot and up to an 11 to accommodate a thick sock. Suffice to say they run a bit small. They’re a super attractive boot but there’s a design flaw that gives you a giant cankle. In between the rubber that cups your foot and the top end where the laces start, there’s a strip of fabric that shouldn’t be there. It would’ve been better to extend the rubber edge further up the side of the boot and done away with that fabric strip altogether.

Way too small. Questionable quality.
These are about one full size smaller than labeled size. I wear an 8.5 or 9. I bought a 9 because I like to wear a heavier sock with boots. I tried them on with a very thin sock and I couldn’t unbend my toes completely. Definitely not a 9, more like an 8. Also, in general, do not seem to have the quality of another pair of North Face boots I purchase a few years ago. I think these are either knock offs or they have just starting selling mediocre crap like most of the world.

Any slip on wool sop
I used to have the 17” (+/-) white Sorels and asked a member of a store if they had any other snow boots comparable to them. The white ones, which I’d had for years, had a wool lining including the sole. These boots only had wool lining in the shaft NONE ON THE SOLE, which was disappointing. If anybody knows where I can find a pair that are higher in the shaft and has a wool sole lining, or even just slip on wool soles, please email me at [email protected]. Thank you!! These boots look sharp and quite comfortable, however they don’t seem as warm as my last pair of Sorels. Again, thank you.

Comfortable, waterproof, and breatheable!
These boots are fantabulous! They are completely water proof (I have waded through my stream bed testing this!), they are breathable and my feet do not over heat. And most importantly, they're comfortable! They have super soft cushioning around your ankles, which I appreciate because I have what I like to call, "spaghetti ankles" that like to twist and sprain over the smallest little tree root. Although I think the grip could be somewhat better, I will not hold that against these boots because I love everything else about them! Highly recommend!

Runs small
I normally wear a 7.5, which is what I ordered. They were a little snug with regular socks, but would be much too tight with thick socks. I ordered these for cold morning walks and the occasional ski trip or ice storm. We don't usually get much snow, but it does get cold and I walk my kids to school most days. I don't know if all snow boots feel like ski boots, but I was hoping these would be more comfortable than my last pair of snow boots. They feel about the same.
